Best line for soft plastics and jigs?
For soft plastics I really like Yo-Zuri Hybrid in 12lbs test and for jigs in very little vegetation I like BPS fluorocarbon in 14lbs test and in heavy cover I like the Fireline Braid in 50lbs test. Later,

St. Croix Avid Warranty
They have 3 levels of warranty service. Silver Star covers manufactures defects, the Avid has a lifetime warranty so any defects in the life of the rod is covered. Gold Star is if you are not the original owner or if you stepped on the rod or slammed it in the car door. Very simple send in the rod and $50 and they send you a new rod or repair the rod you sent in. Gold Star + Upgrade is basically send in the rod with a check for $50 plus the trade up difference in price and they send you the new rod you wanted. Top notch service, top notch warranty, equals no worries. Later,

Best Way to Transport Rods and Reels
I have a Jeep Liberty that we take to go fishing in. We pack everything in the Jeep when we go, mostly do bank fishing. I am trying to find the best method for transporting my rods and reels without having to take the reels on and off the rods every time and to not have to lay them down between the seat anymore. Getting to dangerous. We have 4 BC setups and 3 spinning setups. The longest rod we currently have is 7'. So I am looking for some very creative ideas and pictures would be awesome. Thanks,

Shimano or St.Croix
I have never fished with a Crucial, I have always used St Croix rods for the most part. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Would like to hear more from others that have fished both and their thoughts. I personally just upgraded to some new rods and I went with the Avids over the Crucials, except for my jig rod I went with a Falcon Cara T7, another outstanding line of rods. Later,

When nothing will work what lure do you use?
I will go with a Shakey head or a Drop shot and work it painfully slow. So slow I will eat 1 or 2 peanuts in between twitching the rod. Peal the peanut out of the shell eat it and then twitch it. Used this same technique to teach myself to fish a jig. Laugh all you want it worked for me. Later,

Who makes the best jerkbaits?
I have not used a soft jerk bait, but for hard jerk baits I really like the Rapala Husky Jerk and X-Raps as well as the LC Pointers. Later,

What is your favorite swimbait? (Paddletail/shad body)
I've only tried the YUM Money Minnow and it has produced some nice fish. I have wanted to try the Strike King but haven't yet. I really like the pre slit belly on the YUM Money Minnow. The Strike Kings has a hollow body is the same effect as the slit belly or can you slit this open like on the Money minnow? Later,

2 New Rods
Well after looking at the Kistler Magnesium rods I decided against them. I then looked at the Falcon Cara rods and decided to go with 2 of these rods. Very very nice rods. Later,

baitcasting line. help please!
Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Ultra Soft in either 10 or 12lbs test. Best of both worlds. I also use the BPS brand fluorocarbon and it is very good line as well as being decently priced. Later,

Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Ultra Soft
I believe you are correct, that US is not quite as strong as the Hybrid. Can't remember where I heard or red that either. Hopefully RW can shed some light on that for us. In the meantime I decided to spool my spinning rods all with US, in 6 and 8lbs test and my 51MG with US in 12lbs and my Curados with 12lbs Hybrid for the time being. Should I consider I using 15lbs Hybrid for my jig rod or is 12lbs plenty strong? Later,

2 New Rods
I checked and both *** and Bpro (online) have them. Wait for the next 15% off at TW and you'll be in like Flint. Obviously no triple points for TW but 15% would seem to be better (plus free shipping). I assume Bpro online won't give you the triple points as well; or more like I'd be surprised if they did. Yep you guessed it. In store only. Oh well. Later,

2 New Rods
BPS is having their triple points special tomorrow night and I am wanting to pick up a couple new rods. Right now I am leaning towards 2 Shimano Crucials. 1. 6' 10" MH/XF, spinner baits, buzz baits 2. 7' MH/F, jigs Would these 2 rods be a good choice, or I am better off to go to elsewhere and maybe consider a couple Kistler Magnesium rods? I am wanting to stay right at around $160 a rod $320 for a pair. Or am I better off to go ahead and swallow it and buy the Loomis IMX MBR844C? These are the rods available to me locally, without having to order. Thanks,

Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Ultra Soft
I found a place to get all of my Yo-Zuri needs, thanks Hammer4. So I am going to order some Ultra Soft for my spinning reels and am considering trying it on my BCs as well. Is this a good idea or should I just stick with the Hybrid for my BCs? Thanks,
