How 'bout them birds!!!
I'm with you! Been fan for a long time. They are the only team I have ever truly rooted for. Even during the bad years. It has amazed how many Eagle Jerseys popped up in my area (Southern Indiana) when they went to the super bowl. Now they are scarce again. It has hit the point where people are starting to look at my Eagles gear with disdain again. You have to love the Band Wagon jumpers. I'm told that I am supposed to be a Colts fan. Like that will ever happen... I hate to say it but I think we are going to flop in the play offs again. I'm praying Andy Ried's Play Calling gets more varied and that they dope McNabb up with Red Bull so he actually has stamina in the playoffs for once. I'll root for them the whole way through! Go BIRDS!

Dallas Improves Their Draft Pick Position!
Oh well? What do you mean "Oh well"? Philly Won. THEY WON!!! Who cares about the Broncos? It is a shame Philly will probably flop as usual in the playoffs. Andy Ried's play calling is as predictable as weather patterns. McNabb will lose all stamina. Oh well. I'll love every minute of it right up until that lose. Go EAGLES! Oh by the way. In case anyone forgot The Dallas Cowboys lost yesterday.

Need a little help with a boat price
I could use a little help with a boat price. I am looking at a Fiberglass 1978 Hydrasport 17' 6' bass boat w/ Trailer. It has a 1978 80hp Mercury Engine w/ a stainless steel prop. Both are in very good condition and have been well maintained. It has trim controls at the front of the boat as well as at the steering wheel. It comes with trolling motor and 3 marine batteries that are 1 year old. Humming Bird Fish Finder. Seats, airrater, and what not are pretty new. It also comes with another complete lower unit for the motor and a spare stainless steel prop. The guy said it has an extra thick hull. The guy is a friend of my wife's grandfather. Her grandfather knows the history of the boat and says it has been well maintained. I can pick it all up for $2000. Is this a really good deal or a so so deal? I wasn't sure because of the age. Thanks for any advice.

Holiday recipes!
I second this one!!! If you have not deep fried a turkey you do not know what you are missing. We fry and bake one every year. There is NEVER anything left of the deep fried one. We may deep fry two this year! I generally use Cajun spice that I mix up with a butter spread. I then coat the entire turkey even under the skin with the mixture. I do this 24 hours before I fry it to let the butter really soak in. Powder again with Cajun spice right before you fry it. This is awesone. Just not heaven for your heart and arteries.

poptarts
I like the Frosted Cherry ones. I can't stand the unfrosted one. Right out of the pack for me. I never understood why you would want to ruin them by toasting them. My wife loves the whole wheat one toasted. Pop tarts are great. I used to live off of them when I was single. I mainly ate pop tarts, Nacho Doritos, and Salads. Oh yea and hot pockets. Pepperoni only.

Travel Rods
My dad drives alot and lives about 1 hour from me. I would like to get him a fishing pole for Christmas that he can store in his car. Are the collapsible rods worthless? I am probably going to buy him a regular 2 piece rod but I'm assuming he will leave it at home and not have it when he is out. I like the idea of the collapsible rods. Are any worth owning.

Call of Duty 4
COD 4 and World at War are two different styles of play. COD 4 is more urban close quarters combat. World at War is more open battle field combat. COD 3 was an awesome game. It is still one of my favorites. Treyarch's COD 3 had much better bullet recognition. World at War is more like playing on a much larger Overgrown map. Both are based on the same game engine but have a different feel to them. World at War takes a little more team communication and coordination in my opinion due to the larger maps and vehicles. Both are great games.

Handgun Advice
You picked a good question. The answers will vary greatly. This is probably one of the most debated questions ever. Especially when you start talking calibers. Buying a hand gun is a very personal choice. Your life may depend on it. This influences everyone's opinion more than we realize. We trust our lives to our choices. If anyone disagrees with our choice then they must be wrong because we trust out lives to OUR choice. That is the basis or gun debates. Choosing a caliber used to matter more than it does with our modern ammo. "Knock down" power is a myth. With modern ammo and powders caliber doesn't matter as much. Each has a pro and a con. It is up to you what cons you can live with. 45s move slower and hold less but are larger bullets. 9mm mover faster and hold more but have less recoil. .40s were supposed to be a blend but have turned into more of the wretched child than anything else. What you choose is your choice. All three are good choices. Choosing a gun is about the same way. You have 1911s, metal guns, plastics guns, striker fired guns. You have to find what is comfortable for you. Go look at guns and write down what you like and dislike about each one. This will start to help you narrow your search. Asking on the internet can get overwhelming very quickly. I carry the S&W M&P (semi auto) Full size 9mm. It is a "plastic" gun. It hold 17+1. I carry it with an Inside the waist band holster everyday. Sometimes 16 hours a day. http://www.smith-wes...711&isFirearm=Y Bud guns shop generally runs a good deal on them. I think they have a $50 rebate. I personally dislike the maintenance involved with 1911s. I like the light weight of the plastic guns over full metal. I chose my M&P over the Glock and the XD because the M&P fits my hand better and has a higher capacity. I chose the 9mm over the .40 and the .45 due to ammo cost, less felt recoil which means faster follow up shots and better bullet placement, and larger capacity. Ammo cost was the big deciding factor. You MUST train with it which cost money on ammo. Those are my preferences. Your preferences may be different. Try to find a gun range that rents guns. That will help you more than anything.

Call of Duty 4
That is too funny. It is amazing how well known and how impossible to forget that code is. It is amazing how that code still lives on. COD 5 is a little boring so far. It feels like going from Halo 2 to Halo 3. It just feels tired. I played the beta. I hope the release is better. I'm holding out for Left for Dead.

WOW!
It is nice to see the good that athletes can do outside of sports. All too often the media only reports about the bad they do and ignores the good. That is a touching story. I think that is my worst fear. I do not want to see my kid die.

My Church burnt down
Hopefully their agent kept them educated about being update. The sad part is a lot of churches (and people) will skimp on their coverage to save a small amount money. In the event of a catastrophy they plan on asking for help from the congegation. I was an insurance agent. I seen this quite a bit. It is a shame really. They save a little money to be a burden to their congregation. I hope your pastor wasn't one of these cheap scape people. The phrase "God will provide" has been abused entirely to much by pastors. Work for what you need and pray for what you want. Working for what you want extends to properly protecting yourself and your congregation. Why you wouldn't insure something at 100% replacement cost is beyond me. Either insure it or don't. 99% someone would cut their limits and then have a claim I would have to listen to them whine about how they didn't know what they were going to do. All it takes is once to be a statistics. Anywho. I'll get off of my rant. I meant to say I'm sorry to hear about your claim. Losses like these can really bring a church together and make them stronger. The media gives them exposure and help bring back people that haven't been coming and brings in new people that want to help out. I hope this turns out to be a good event for your church.

Tragic Gun Club Accident...
I agree that the instuctor needs to lose his license. It wasn't the guns fault. It did what it was designed to do. To say that kids can't fire automatic guns is not living in reality. How many kids have been made to serve in the warlords armies in Africa and the middle east? They use full auto AKs. To say that kids can't is to underestimate their capabilities. BUT they have to be taught. The problem in this situation lies on the shoulder of the instructor. It was his job to determine who and when people were qualified to shoot his firearms. It was his job tell stupid fathers that their kids weren't qualified to shoot his guns. It was the fathers job to say you aren't educated enough on guns to shoot this full auto gun even though this is a controled and supervised environment. Banning full auto guns will never fix stupidity. If banning something worked we wouldn't have a drug problem and we definately wouldn't have went through the prohibition era. Look how hard it is to own a gun in Chicago and NY. It is almost impossible to defend yourself. Look at Washinigton DC. Last I checked murder was up since they banned guns. Not down. Guns don't kill people. People kill people. If I'm not mistaken we were killing each other in vast numbers long before automatic guns were invented. A gun is like a fire extinguisher. It is a tool for a purpose. I'm guessing at this statistic but I assume that stupid kills more people every year than anything else. Ban stupid and you may fix the problem. I completely agree with Raul, "This event only proves that if there is the slightest and most infinitesimal chance that something can go wrong you can bet it will go wrong."

Question about handgun permit form
$300-$400 is still isn't a bad range you may have to look into the used market. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php Used glocks, M&Ps, Xds can be found in that price range. M&Ps have been running rebates. Their site is having issues at the moment so I cannot see what the new rebate is. I'll check back later. Buying a handgun for self defense is a very personal thing. In this matter preference makes a huge difference. Find one that feels good in your hand. Gun owners are very biased about brands and styles. Opinions in gun debates are always very heated due to the the nature of what they are. We buy guns knowing full well that at one point your life may depend on it. We then assume that since we trust our life to it that everyone else should also. If they don't agree then they are most definitely WRONG! That is the nature of gun/caliber debates. When discussing guns you will run into more bull headedness than anything else. I personally like the M&P striker fired format. I preferred my M&P over the Glock and the XD. The ergonomics fit my hand much better. I like the 17 round mags. Plus is has a life time warranty from S&W. When I pull my pistol it naturally points straighter for me. I shoot more accurately with my M&P than anything else. It fits my hand that much better. The felt recoil is the softest of any gun I have shot (excluding my wife's Walther P.22) I have about 900 rounds through mine and have never had one problem. I live in Indiana. I love Indiana. I have a full size 9mm that hold 17+1. It isn't nickle plated and shiny but it goes bang every time I pull the trigger. I would avoid the S&W Sigma. If anyone tells you that the M&P is just an upgraded/ newer sigma then just quietly walk away from them because they have no idea what they are talking about.

NCIS mistake
Well if you were Perry Mason you would be able to figure it out now wouldn't you? ;D I grew up watching Perry Mason with my mom. That is a great analogy. It was almost impossible to figure some of the endings out.

Tragic Gun Club Accident...
That is horrible for everyone involved. Things happen too fast at times. I can not imagine the guilt that everyone involved must be dealing with at this time. It saddens me to think of what they must be going through. I will keep the family and business owner in my prayers.

Heat Pump question
I played with the programming this summer with our cooling bill. We leave at 8 am and get home around 5 pm. I set the thermostat to 76 at 4pm and to 80 at 9am. I let the house raise 4 degrees during the day. I did NOT help our cooling bill. I tried it with the heat for the first time last winter taking from 70 to 74 on the same time frame. It DID not help our heating bill. This was the first year I played around with it. I will not be doing that again. I agree with the theory that when you change the tempature you are changing the temp of EVERYTHING in your house. So when you bring the temp back to where you want it you have to change the temp of EVERYTHING in your house again. Walls and flooring being the hardest temps to change and the ones the that need to change the most. Heat pumps do not put out hot air. They put our warm air. Therefore it takes longer to warm up and longer to feel warm. If I there is too much of a temp change then the aux will kick in. There goes the effeciency of your heat pump because it just kicked into electric heat. I'm going to leave the thermost alone this year to compare. I'm pretty sure my heating bill stayed the same at best but we were alot colder waiting on everything to heat up. It may have saved us a few pennies but it was definately not worth it. I'm not a heating and expert guy though. My house is well insulated. Others may have had better results.

Anything more relaxing than cleaning guns?
Like I said. It is a mental thing. I don't mind performing preventative maintenance on my stuff. Whether it is guns, fishing gear, cars or the house I like knowing that everything is in tip top shape. Last time I checked using something that breaks while you are using it is not much fun at all. I clean my fishing gear as well as I clean my guns. It always amazes me how many people drop hard earned money on something, refuse to maintenance it, and then get mad when it breaks. Me. I'm far from rich. I have to take care of what I have to make it last. I have a 3 1/2 yr old daughter with glacoma. Her exams/ surgeries are not cheap even after insurance. Replacing stuff isn't easy for us. When I maintain something it reminds me to appreciate what I have. In retrospect I guess cash flow determines your enjoyment when it comes to maintenance. Would I enjoy it as much if money wasn't such an issue? I hope so but I suppose I probably wouldn't. Edit: I take back the cash flow portion. I actually enjoy working on things. I like learning how things work. I don't mind taking stuff apart to fix it. I have fixed enough stuff in my life to learn to appreciate good preventive maintenance. Add in the cash flow idea and I actually enjoy it.

Question about handgun permit form
That looks like a one time host purchase permit. I will have to look into it further. It looks likes you will have to decide who you want to buy the gun from before you can send it in. Start looking. Gun shopping is quite fun. I carry a S&W M&P full size 9mm.

Anything more relaxing than cleaning guns?
Cleaning guns depends on your prospective. If you view it as cleaning up the dirt then it will be tedious and boring. I view it as a calm time to review my gun and make sure it is operational. I have a kid so when I clean it means she is in bed or gone. It is down time so that I have the time to make sure my gun is in the best working order. I don't want to increase the odds of something happening to it when I need it he most by not inspection or cleaning it. My carry piece is my prized tool to take care of situations that I can not talk my way out of. It is not my bragging right. I don't like people to know when I am carrying. I rarely have it out of it's holster unless I'm at the range. Cleaning it is the only time I get to admire the beauty of it. I carry so often that I don't feel it on my hip anymore. It is like carrying my wallet. It is a tool for a purpose that I have grown accustomed to. (I have grown accustomed to the tool. Not the purpose of the use.) That being said I am not a gun slinger. I have no desire to prove myself. I do not have the "little man" syndrome. My gun is a tool just like a fire extinguisher in the kitchen or a hammer. BUT it is a deadly weapon that has been made with precision. It is my baby. I HAVE to look after it or it won't look after me. I HAVE to keep up with it to keep little hands from finding it... It is not really cleaning it so much as taking care of it. Rifles are the same way. You get what you give. I will admit that I do not care to clean my other guns as much as my carry peice but then again I'm not betting my little girls life against my other guns as often. It is a mental game. A carry piece is as personal as anything you will ever own. It holds your desires and ambitions as well as the well being of you family.

Hula Popper Presentation
Luck was probably not the proper term to use. I'm new to fishing and trying to learn the new lures that I'm getting. Unfortunately they do not come with directions. I searched but there isn't much info here on the poppers (at least that I could find.). I used the term luck just as a general use term because I was in a hurry when I posted. When do you use Hula Poppers? I was using mine on a small pond about 1 hour before dusk until it got dark. I assumed this would have been a good time for it. I tried varing cadences from quick twitches to steady twitches to plopping it along. I wasn't sure if this needs to more of a steady retreive or more a of pop, sit and wait. I know this is situational but there is generally an underlying technique. That is what I am asking. Is there an underlying technique to these things or do you keep it random? Edit: You guys posted before I finished this one. Thanks for the help. That is what I needed.
