  1. Is this that new game called "Where's the post?" For some reason I am finding this thread highly amusing this morning. It made the old Wendy's comercial of "Where's the beef?" pop back into my head.

Fo' Sho'!!!! I agree with you on that word. I'm am by far not an english major but "probably" really drives me insane!
  3. Free Draft Bottles Can That is the order of things. Guinness is good. Killens on Draft is great. I like dark beers more than the light colored beers. I like flavor. Ice cold bud light is good but I will take a Killens any day over that. One day I want to brew my own beer just to try it out. For some reason cans always taste a little more bitter to me. It is probably in my head as Bud has done countless tests to disprove this. It still has a slight bitter after taste to me. I'll still drink it though!!!
  4. Dogs can live with an incredible amount of pain. Dogs are tough. Tougher than most people realize. A dog can have massive bone structure problems and they will still try and get up and play. That is why they are mans best friend. They never burden you with their problems. Alot of people use this misconception for selfish reasons. Just because your dog is happy to see you doesn't mean his life is good. It is not fair to let the dog suffer just to ease YOUR pain. I am a HUGE dog lover so bear with me on this next part. I realize there is a fine line between a dog living with a disability and a dog that needs to be put down. Dogs that are in pain, blind, deaf etc. are a danger to themselves. At some point they go from being a risk to themselves and start to become a risk to others. Mainly small children. Blind dogs tend to be skittish. In turn they start to snap more when things startle them. They are generally very friendly around their owners but what dog isn't. Get a small child around a hurt dog and you are looking at not only putting the dog down but a potential huge law suit on top of it. Then add into the fact that the child is now emotionally and possible physically scared. How many times have we heard, "He never hurt anyone before this in his life." All it takes is once. All that risk for what? So that you can feel good while you debate what the right thing to do is? We humans are emotionally greedy. It is just how we are built. We have to take responsibility at some point. Why risk on tainting the memories you have of your dog. This was not directed towards anyone. It is just my way of thinking. Yes I am a huge animal lover. I can't stand it when people won't take their pets to the vet. They are part of the family. Shoot, I still feel bad when I have to take a hook out of a fish. It makes me even madder when people let animals suffer for their own emotional needs. -Reuben
  5. No it could be even worse. You could be a Raider's fan.
  6. That is some funny stuff. I guess that is one way to get around backing up a trailer.

Wow. That article put some of these I was juggling with into place. Thanks for finding that.
  8. I am so disappointed in Sheldon Brown. He should never have been beaten as bad as he was by TO. I am more disappointed that Philly let TO go instead of giving him a new contract. Over all I thought Philly's defensive plan was to soft. It looked like they ran a soft zone entirely to long in the fist half. I didn't get to watch the second half. At least it was an exciting game. I'm glad to see McNabb up and running again. It's a shame Kevin Curtis and Reggie Brown weren't healthy enough to play. It may have had a different ending. Heh. Anybody ever catch a Hawg and intentionally threw it back right before you got it into the boat?!?!?!?

$20 co-pay + $10 prescription = $30. Bottle of Dawn <$3 + some good body cleaning = Never a bad thing! The Dr will give you a steriod shot or a steriod pack. Steriods have their own side effects.

Yay!!! Someone else is allergic to this crap like me!!!! Watch using the bleach. It can cause an allergic reaction and actually make the problem worse. Bleech is wierd. Sometimes it works. More often than not it doesn't. Poison Ivy spreads because the oil spreads. To stop poison ivy and get rid of it you have to get rid of the oil and then dry the effected area out. The best way to do this is with Dawn dish Detergent. It has a degreaser to get rid of the oil. It will also dry your skin out. Ask anyone who does dishes on a regular basis! This is what you want. You have to wash the effected area at least 5 times a day. This keeps the oil from spreading and drys up the effected area. Coat the effected area with a think coating of Dawn everytime you wash. Slowly wash it off. Repeat at least 5 times a day until the rash goes away. Do not scratch the skin off. This will cause scaring and can lead to infection. If it starts itching very badly then run warm to hot water of the effected area. This will make it itch like VERY badly. Once you remove the area from the hot water the itch WILL go away for quite some time. I do not know why this works but it does. Something with the nerve endings. When you wash with dawn use the hottest water you can stand without burning yourself. Don't yell at me if you scald yourself. Use common sense. Calamine lotions do not work. They are a worthless waste of money. If the area gets to bad go to your Dr. and get a steriod pack. Trust me. This is not a joke. It truly does work. -Reuben
  11. Get COD 4 over GRAW 2. It is a much better game. You can shoot the snipers through walls. It makes it a completely different game experience.
  12. I found it but it took me a minute. I hope I would have seen it. If I was that close before I noticed it then I would have probably shot it as a reaction. That is camo at its best. I love the way camo works. I'm still facinated by camo. Why weren't we humans born with camo?...
  13. Thanks for dragging this back up!!! It is new to me! It would be nice is someone would make a contents thread that would link to posts like these. It is hard for us new people to know what to search for.
  14. Welcome to BR!!! This site is a great wealth of knowledge!

I think I would have had a heart attack before I reached the bottom if my little girl every pulled something like that. I doubt I would make it to the punch line.
  16. Meijer's makes their own brand of Mach IIIs for a couple of bucks less per pack. They seem to last just as long. They sell just as fast as they get them in is the problem. Very hard to find them.

I still like. Wife: "Where do you want to eat tonight?" Me: "I don't know. Where do you want to eat?" Wife: "I don't care. Where ever you want to eat is fine." Me: "How about McDonald's." Wife: "No. We just ate there. I don't know what I want" Me: "Burger Kind. Taco Bell?" Wife: "No and no." Me: "Rally's? Long John Silvers?" Wife "No. I want Frishe's!" It always kills me. I have learned that whatever I want to eat I never mention. I list everything else until she comes up with it. I have to name everything else and then she normally chooses whatever is left. Alot of my buddies' wives are the same way. Why are women that way? Cracks me up everytime! I once made the mistake of pointing this out to her.
  18. I am sorry I missed this post when it was first posted. I will definitely keep them in my prayers. I don't mean to jack this thread but I am also helping a new widow who is 42 and has 4 kids. The youngest has mental issues. The oldest is 10 years old. She lost her husband in June. He was 45 and perfectly healthy up until then. He died of a stroke. It was on his sons 10 year birthday. He was proud that he had almost $300,000 in life insurance through work. He had been remodeling their farm house for the last six years while they lived in a trailer on the back of their property. He did most of the work himself. Including custom making molding to match what the original. They were two weeks away from moving in. Brent and Sonya had spent that Sunday playing with their 4 sons. It was their oldest sons birthday. That night at approximately 11pm Brent woke up in a cold sweat. He woke Sonya up and told her he hadn't felt right for the last two weeks. He then asked her to take him to the emergency room. They packed the kids up and got them loaded into their mini van. Brent noticed that he had left his glasses in the house and told Sonya he would be right back. Brent never came back out. Sonya went back inside and found him lying on their bedroom floor. Unfortunately Brent misunderstood his insurance policy that he had through work. He had nothing else. It turned out he only had $110,000 in life insurance. Not the $300,000 that he thought he was leaving his family. Now Sonya is trying to deal with the loss of her best friend plus raise 4 kids under the age of 10. She is a stay home mom. Going back to work full time isn't an option due to her littlest one's, Caleb, mental illness. The daycare expense would be to great. Luckily for Sonya $110,000 is JUST enough to pay off all of their debt. Unfortunately being debt free does not put food onto the table. Now she is trying to figure out how to survive as a single mom with 4 kids and no career. Please make sure you KNOW what type of insurance plan you have. Meet with your insurance agent and have him help you figure out what you need to do to protect your family. DON'T ASSUME! This is the most important thing you can do for you family. Talk to your insurance agent. No this isn't a sales pitch. I am not selling anything. This isn't a chain letter. Dealing with Sonya has broken my heart. She asked me to tell her story in hopes that this does not happen to another family. Losing Brent was hard enough on her. Finding out his life insurance was less than half of the amount they thought he had has made the situation even worse. I'm sorry for jacking this thread but PLEASE do not do this to your family. Go talk to your insurance agent. It is the most important thing you can do for you family. Please spend time with your kids. Tomorrow may not come. Leave them with memories other than you being to tired to play with them.
  19. That sums up one of my all time favorite quote. "Attitude is a reflection of leadership." I try to remember that everyday.
  20. Anyone have any experience with either of these products?
  21. A large piece of drift wood goes a LONG way towards keeping your tank healthy. It helps balance out the PH. Fish tanks are fun but can be VERY expensive for new owners. Getting the water properly conditioned takes time. Do not make the mistake of loading it up with fish. Slowly introduce fish into the new system. If something is wrong you don't want to lose alot of expensive fish all at once. One way to help kick start your tank is to go to the pet store where you will be buying the fish and ask them for the dirty filter sponges. This has the bacteria in it that your new tank needs to support life. Fish tanks are alot of work. To keep the tank healthy you have to clean it quite a bit. A water test kit will set you back about $25 bucks but is well worth it. Most fish store employees don't know crap about keeping a tank healthy. Fish tanks are awesome when you get them running properly. They are very relaxing. I highly recommend them.
  22. HOLY *#$@!!! The Raiders do have a FAN!!! I don't think the Raider's know how to settle down. That has been their problem for years.
  23. Go Philly!!! Long time Philly fan here. Been one since we sucked. It nice that we have been competitive for the last few years. Word of comfort for everyone. At least your team isn't the Raiders!!!
  24. As a long time Philly fan I feel your pain. Yes we are doing good now but we sucked for a long time. It was amazing how many TO jersey came out of now where when we signed him. I hate band wagon followers. Look on the bright side. At least the lions, skins, 49s, and dophins aren't the Raiders!!!
  25. Apparently green was cool when Philly made a run for the super bowl. I was amazed at all of the Philly Gear that was being toted. Did I mention I'm in southern Indiana which is Colts country? Go figure. Band wagon jumpers... What is worse than a Redskins fan and a Raiders fan? A cheese head! Every time and I mean Every time I need Green Bay to do something for me to win in fantasy football they flop. If I need their defense to do something then the score get ran up. If I needed Brett Favre to run up the score he would flop. At this point I will never be able to be a cheese head. Maybe now the Favre is gone things may change but I doubt it. Edit: That might have been a little harsh on GB. Nothing is worse than being a Raiders fan. I rank GB right after them!
