New Poll about the forum!
I've found that if you "get away" for too long you miss out on what's new day to day, so you spend more time catching up than participating. Theres nothing more frusrating than being left behind! It's rather addicting.

Plastic Surgery
While bored out of my mind this weekend, I played the Mad Scientist in the garage and started to make some longer worms like 12" for fun and got a little side tracked..This is what the kids and I came up with! It's amazing what a candle, some old plastics, and an imagination can yield Note: This was our first try!!!!!!

Drop shotting for dummies
Thanks for the info, now we're getting somewhere.. Great pics and video thanks for sharing. Do you normally hook the plastics like a you would a texas rigged worm, or do you guys nose hook them as well..like a real minnow?

Drop shotting for dummies
As I have never used this technique, I need a little help and guidance from you guys. What kind and size of soft plastics work well craws, worms, grubs What type of weights do you prefer What kind and size of hook circle, straight, etc What kind of line(mono, braid, flouro.) and do you use a swivel above the hook? What rod and reel works best spinning or baitcast, etc. As you can see I am clueless with this setup, and with so many choices out there to buy, a guy could go broke trying them all .. Thanks in advance -John

Double prop lure
Right or wrong I typically use an erratic twitch and pause technique with these type of lures over submerged brush and grasses. Hope that helps. -John

Looking for a rod travel case
I also made mine out of PVC for about 10 bucks. It worked well for me, I put 5 rods in it for a fly in trip to Canada, carried the reels in a backpack.Nothing was damaged and they were very rough!! If you want purchase one, the Bazooka tube is a good choice from BPS. Many of my friends have these and love them....I'm cheap! They make 2,the pro holds 9 or more and the original one holds 6 or more -John

What is the best rod series out there regardless of price?
I have 2 Gloomis GL's and if money were no object, I would probably buy more. I love the ones I have but, I also love some of the BPS rods. It's something about the power hump handles! They just fit my hand right!
