  1. How did you manage that? A smoother stradic would be nice...
  2. lol that was good. i love the nfl one...
  3. Baby wipes Milk Bananas Other assorted groceries .... And a curado 51e
  4. I use braid with a leader for everything. The leader helps the braid not get banged up going over steep rocky dropoffs and if I get snagged, 10# copolymer is easier to break than 20, 30 or stronger braided lines.
  5. ive used it when i first got into fishing. its a decent line like everyone has stated and inexpensive. i respooled often and did not have any unusual breakages. things i didnt like was it holds onto everything including memory. after i switched to braid, i kept one spool for pictures and other household tasks and gave the other spools away. if i were to go with mono again, id choose sufix siege for abrasion resistance or elite for castability.
  6. P line CXX. i use it and 6 and 10#.
  7. I think those are the ones they call atomic pan fish lol. Awesome fight on light tackle. I've seen those go after peacocks that swim by their beds.
  8. There's also the lady Trion... http://www.pfluegerfishing.com/Pflueger%C2%AE-Lady-Trion%C2%AE-Spinning-Combo/1280283,default,pd.html
  9. Zoom fluke Jr, roboworm straight tail and alive shad. If I can't get bit with these, they fish aren't there.
  10. I replaced my finesse worms with roboworms and fish them that way. The fish love it.
  11. I'm waiting for that forum to come back to life so I could ask there too. The reel I have isn't anything special, just beat up. Personally, I don't have enough skill to do any kind of reel painting so it would have to be sent out.
  12. I was curious if anyone can refinish/repaint spinning reels? I've seen it done with casting reels but never spinning. Are there just too many parts to make it cost effective?
  13. I was almost set on the revo sx 20 but I couldn't find any solid reviews. There are a couple around but that wasn't enough for me. I ended up ordering a stradic that should be here tomorrow. Even though I hate the white color, it's track record is what sold me.
  14. Trig 1/0 ewg hook and 1/32-1/8 oz weight for me. Shaker head does well also. I do love fishing light tackle and small baits, though.
  15. I have an android, wife has iphone/ipad. Good to know it'll work with both. I think I'm going to wait and save for the black. I hate buying something only to want something better.
  16. Wow, thanks for the reply. I wasn't planning it for an immediate purchase so I can save up and get the black down the road. The more I thought about it, I probably would like to edit videos and do other cool things down the road as I learn the ropes and things I could do with the camera and videos. I'll look into it some more and decide what I'll ultimately want to do.
  17. nice. ive almost pulled the trigger and bought a few packs but the price threw me off. everything ive read about them says theyre awesome baits though. hows the durability? how do you think they would work on a light t-rig? err, just saw TW has them for under $5 a pack. i remember seeing them somewhere for double that. i may have to pick up a pack on my next order...
  18. pff, i have zero confidence in jigs. every one ive cast, ive lost to a snag. it maybe because im shore bound and almost all the lakes or canals i fish have very steep, rocky drop offs or im just not meant to fish them, but i have had that technique on the back burner for the longest. i really would love to catch a fish on one but the money ive spend on them just to get snagged doesnt sit well with me.
  19. i usually dont like it either, but my wife convinced me to try it and im glad i did.
  20. i have some plastics and a shallow shad rap that i wont be using... i could use 4"-5" straight tail roboworms or yamamoto cut tails zoom fluke jrs zoom 4" lizards or similar... i would like at least 2 packs of plastics for what i have pictured as none of it will ever see use.
  21. nice! how do you like that rod? im on the fence about picking up one of those presso's or an older procyon for some UL action but i already have a light power rod rated down to 1/32oz...
  22. mellow mushroom is the best ive had to date. locally, papa johns hawaiian bbq is awesome. something about that sauce and pineapples is just amazing. yum
  23. ive been reeling in dinks or getting skunked for the past few months and finally my luck has turned. ive been seeing bass swimming in pairs in the shallows the past few outings and ive finally got one to take my bait. i saw this pair swimming my way right along the bank and waited for them to come within comfortable pitching distance. with a bit of coaching and patience, this one smashed my fluke jr just as it fluttered down in front of its face then the fight was on! i had forgot how it felt to have a good size fish on the end of my line. and it felt even better on my new 7' ML/F 2 piece crucial. i still have my 1000f saros with 15# powerpro on there untill i get something different. there was an older couple on the opposite side of the lake in their backyard who watched the whole thing. after this fish, i noticed they positioned their chairs so they could watch me fish for the rest of the time i was there. i managed 6 fish total within 1.5 hours that day but only got a picture of this one. the picture does not do it justice... dont mind the ugly mug holding the fish... got out again today for about 15 mins with the walmart special 6'6" vendetta and a revo s spooled with 30# sufix braid and 10# cxx leader and managed one smaller bass around 1-2lbs. pretty sweet rod for the price. definitely closer to a MH than a M. was planning on staying out longer but the rain and lightning made me leave. of course, a couple hours after i got home its bright and sunny with a light breeze outside. hoping the weather with cooperate better tomorrow.
