nope. and i was outbid on the one i was checking out on ebay.

i cought one around 20" with a F7 gold/black rapala , lol. not sure if thats common or not , but it was a surprise. hell of a fight with 6lb line on a UL rod.

thanks guys. im going to give em a shot next time im out. ive always been intimidated by them since ive always fished hardbaits or soft plastics t-rigged. since ive moved to NC , it seems all the fish go to school and learn to ignore the basic plastic presentation.

i almost always wear sandals. even when its cold , i just throw on socks ;D from what im reading , they generally dont inject much venom when they bite out of defense , but they can put in enough to make you not able to use that limb. even though its a rarity , i would hate to take that chance. im not scared of snakes , i just give them the respect they need and hopefully they give me that in return.

the way they talked about him being a well balanced fighter must of been a joke. even dana commented about his 4 year old daughter throwing bigger punches than that ;D

i wouldnt say he hates him. he obviously wanted to see kimbo make it further than he did. his ground game is weak but he does throw some serious bombs and that alone would be much more entertaining than watching that heffer. growing up in miami , everyone talked about kimbo being a genuine nice guy , but after watching the youtube videos of his backyard fights , i always thought otherwise. this show really showed his personality and i was truly going for him. sucks he is just now trying to get into the UFC as old as he is. oh well , im sure he will get another chance.

its been skunky for me. today i noticed the bass holding TIGHT to cover and saw some right on the shoreline but they wanted nothing to do with what i had to offer.

how do you work these things? i grabbed a couple of booyah bucktails from dicks while i was raiding their clearance bin , but im clueless. ive seen people talk about how jigs can trigger bites when bass seem to have 'lock-jaw' after a cold front moves through. would a 3.5" beaver work as a trailer? ive always questioned myself using jigs with an exposed hook because i think i would get hung up on everything. while on the jig topic , what makes you decide to grab one jig over the other? like , when would you prefer a spot remover over a football head , or bucktail? i have done some reading on the subject , but im still lost. :-?

oh man , that shad action is something else! i used a 4/0 ewg gammy and that solved the problem. the 5/0 i was using was an eagle claw and the 4/0 gammys are just a hair shorter but a heavier hook. depending how the shad landed on the water , it would spin for a second , but it would correct itself right after. while i didnt catch anything today , just watching the shad buzz along the surface kept me entertained ;D. now i can see why people say they are replacing their topwaters with these. i was buzzin' em on the surface , poppin' it , and just about anything i did with my other topwaters except walking the dog. great bait. good job rage tail. 8-)

thanks alot for the reply big-o. yep , the package did not have the hard plastic packaging on the inside. ill pick up some superline hooks and see how that goes since they are a bit cheaper than the swimbait hooks. the baits do look great though and i can tell they will last as far as durability goes. 8-)

ive never fished a toad so i really wouldnt know.

;D good thing i picked up some toads as well. are they both made to work as a topwater type bait? i was trying everything , from letting the shad sink a few feet , to casting and retrieving. i havnt tried the toads yet , but there really isnt too many pads or surface cover at the spots i frequent.

thanks , but ive seen the video almost too many times lol. ;D i rigged it just as showed and still had issues. after looking at the bait , there is a small indent on the bottom probably from the molding/packaging process , but i dont think it would of caused a problem.

went out today and got skunked (cold front came through last night), but it was more of a day to try out some of the new baits and presentations. of course i wanted to see how the rage shad looked but i was quickly disappointed. i was using a 5/0 ewg hook and the bait kept wanted to turn over. if i reeled it in slower , the tail had no action. any faster and the bait would spin. i searched around and seen some people mention superline hooks. it would make sense because of the added weight underneath would keep it right side up , but others mentioned using regular ewg hooks. i made sure i rigged it center. i did not skin hook it though but i dont think that would of made a difference. is there a trick to this bait? i was using my 6' M compre/citica combo with 10lb big game.

not a problem. i ended up going back and grabbed the rest of the jigs that i could find. they also had some rage toads in there as well. annnnd someone opened a pack of rage shads and took two out. i brought the open pack up to the counter and ended up with 3 rage shads for 75 cents. good day. 8-)

this one loads fine for me. some of my other forums are dirt slow though. im using firefox.

even with all these suggestions , im still going back to mac and cheese with tuna. its so amazing lol. i did add some mayo to my last batch and it came out great. im gonna try out the shredded chicken soon though. i love pulled pork and i would imagine its very similar. yum.

the few times ive fished my 6740 , i didnt have severe twist problems. on my 6725 , i did have slight problems , but line conditioner helped out a bit.

i add a small split shot 10-12 inches in front of a floating rapala to make it run deeper. as far as i know , it doesnt effect its action , but i do bring up alot of muck on the weight.
