well , apparently , everything in dicks clearance bins was 50% off today... so i ended up with 20 3/16oz spot removers , 10 1/16oz screw type football jigs , a f11 floating rapala , sr5 shad rap , two mann 1 minus , bomber 4a and ... i think thats it. .....$22. ;D ;D ;D 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) :o i spent an hour running up and down the isles checking all the stickers to see what all was marked down that they havnt moved to the bins yet. i urge everyone to head over to there and see what they got. i asked the guy up front to see when the sale ended but they wernt even supposed to ring up that cheap. so hes gonna pick some up himself and im going back tomorrow to see what else they got or if its still going on. not sure if its all stores , but its worth a shot. ive never fished a jig before though so it was the perfect time for me to pick some up. i know nothing about them. how to work them or what baits to use so i have alot of experimenting. ;D

great suggestions. one thing i didnt see mentioned , is to see if there is a fishing forum for your area. if there is , you may be able to meet up with people who would be happy to teach you. having a boat is a huge plus too. learning to fish from shore isnt the most rewarding way. good luck!

im waiting on a reply from TW. bilgerats post about the rod snapping left a bad taste in my mouth. id rather have the warranty in case something like that does happen. the closest BPS is like 4 hours away - not worth the drive for a $40 purchase.

i appreciate it. i didnt mean to make it seem like im just going for what easiest , but im really not much of a desk-job person. i like working with my hands and/or being outdoors and everything ive looked at that does interest me , it seems it doesnt pay as well as the guy behind the desk.

cant comment on those specific phones but i have bought a couple off ebay a couple years back without any problems. one unlocked , and the other was used but in great condition. check the feedback. what i like to do is actually go through the feedback and read their negatives (if any). good luck.

well , i decided today that im just going to stick with two lures all day. a 1/16oz jig with a 2" power grub (i didnt get a single nibble) and a taquila sunrise zoom worm on a 3/0 offset hook with a 1/8oz unpegged weight which landed this beast - not much of a fight on my 6' M/F compre citica combo w/ 10lb line , but it was my rush of the day. i havnt used a u-tail worm like that in years so it was kinda rewarding to land that monster. a few minutes later , a group of people came by asking if i cought anything. i told them about the single bass and that i released it. this one guy looked like he had fire in his eyes. he said "why didnt you keep it?! you need to stop doing that ESPN stuff and bring him home!" i couldnt help but laugh. it did get me a bit mad because it was obvious he was the type of person who would keep anything he catches, but i didnt want to get into it with him so i chuckled and nodded. : after the excitement , i headed up the street to another pond and didnt land anything except weeds. one fish is better than no fish so it wasnt a bad day imo. 8-)

not the best pictures , but i can clearly remember taking them. brings back memories. local lake i frequented in miami. black point marina in miami. 1/2-3/4 of a mile walk to get there. always had to make it back before high tide came in or you would be wading. lake benson , nc

good stuff guys. my fiance has made a couple dishes that were super cheap. her grandparents (or great grandparents?) made them during the depression. i think one of them was published in a cookbook as well. spanish delight egg noodles flour tomato soup corn and ground beef. ill get the exact quantities later. brown the beef. mix the soup , flour , corn and noodle (not sure if they cook in the oven , or you precook them). throw in the oven for 40 minutes on 350* and cover with shredded cheese. soupy spaghetti angel hair noodles tomato juice - 64oz jug. i think you add water to it as well. beef - 1lb onion mix the juice , browned beef , diced onion in a pot. cook the noodles in that. simple , cheap and excellent on a cold day. ive tried to add peppers and over stuff in there but the fiance wont let me lol.

i havnt cought a single fish since i bought the powerbait scent stuff. however , i do smoke while i fish and i think it does mask those scents well.

good stuff guys! im gonna have to try some of those out. btw...i looooooove ruben sammiches. and to the fried fish... i would cook some up....IF i can catch em. ive been getting nothing but a tan the past few outings. >
