Problem with spool tension knobs missing
Somewhere here locally is a person or Persons with a fortune in Tension spool knobs from various Baitcasters. This has been going on for at least 5 years and I have alerted every Sporting Goods employee and even the Dept Manager. Now they keep the plastic bag on the reels from when its shipped from the manufacturer, but those are easily removed. The manufacturer uses zip ties to keep a person from taking the reels off the rods. I saw a Quantum combo last night that had the Reel jimmied from the criss crossed zip ties, and the reel inserted on the rod backwards. : Someone is being awfully mischievous. Its VERY aggravating because I have seen several times where I wanted to purchase a combo, but really couldnt because the knob was missing.

Problem with spool tension knobs missing
I suppose that might work, but then you have all the reels with no spool control knobs. If I'm browsing and see no knobs on the reels at all I'd pass and the combos probably wouldn't sell at all.The Sporting goods Dept is only open a certain amount of hours and if I want to buy this combo after that dept is closed, then I may not be able to get the knob as its locked up in the drawer. Just like a fishing license...if I wanted to hit the lake. Before sun up and didn't have a license,I would have to wait for the sporting goods dept to open and a sporting goods associate to write up a License. This is a 24 hour WalMart(as most are) and not everyone who works there is certified to write up a license.Seems like there is no real solution

Problem with spool tension knobs missing
Local walmart has a a problem with their display baitcasting combos. On the baitcasters the spool tension knobs keep getting stolen. This means the reels are useless. I tried to talk to the manager about getting the combo at a discount but they just pull em of the shelves and send in a claim of damaged merchandise. I see these knobs missing all the time and its sickening that I can't even buy a decent rod and reel because the knobs are missing.what kind of solution is there for this?

How good of a deal is this?
Local Walmart has Abu Garcia Black Max Baitcasting combos marked down from $60 to $45. Its the reel and a MH 6'6" rod. Sounds like a deal to me.Is it a deal or is this an average price I can get this combo for elsewhere.

Action of a weightless slug-go
I've never thrown a Slug-go.I've heard they are dynamite in the right conditions. Can these be fished like a Senko, meaning t-rigged or Wacky rigged? What kind of action do these have when fished weightless t rigged? Do they shimmy and wag their tail on the fall like a Senko? Or do they just nose dive? I fish my Senkos t rigged weightless by letting it fall on a slack line and when it hits bottom I "rip it up" with a strong jerk and let it fall again. What's a good presentation for a sluggo?

Uncommon skirt colors for spinnerbaits
The most common colors used for spinnerbait skirts are white and chartreuse,at least that I know of. What about plain red or orange, why aren't these seen on spinnerbaits very often? When(if ever) would a plain red or plain orange skirt be productive? What about a mix of the 2 colors together?

What is your guy' deal with the senko type bait?
Gut hooking...Yep Bizz you hit the nail on the head. Ive gut hooked a good share of fish on a Soft stickbait myself. Seems the fish hit it on the fall, and absolutely engulf it before they start moving. By then its too late. Happens alot when your deadsticking the bait while picking out a backlash too.

What is your guy' deal with the senko type bait?
I have caught ALOT of fish on Soft Stickbaits. My 3 largest Bass I have ever caught came on a Stickbait. In one day I boated at least 2 Bass that went 5#'s,which is unusual for the lake I fish, its full of Dinks. On another body of water, the first cast with a Stickbait got me a solid 4# fish. Now these arent GIANT fish, but for someone who is used to catching dinks, its substantial.Ive weened myself from using stickbaits somewhat, but now I cant stop throwing a Dropshot. *** sells a GREAT Stickbait with a good selection of colors and a great price.

Beaver style baits(The New Senko?)
About all of us on here have either fished a Senko syle bait or heard stories of how productive they are. Along come the Beaver Style baits and I have heard of people having GREAT success using them. Are they in the Senko category when it comes to catching fish? Are they really THAT good at catching bait,or at least getting bites?I just cant seem to understand why they would be. Whats your most productive presentation of beaver baits? Why are these fish catchers? What is it about them?

Why B.A.S.S. or FLW?
Ive been following Professional Bass fishing for as long as I can remember. Ive seen some pros that used to be on the B.A.S.S. tournament trail over on the FLW tourney trail. A few names like Dion Hibdon.Tom Mann Jr,Larry Nixon and probably most recently Ish Monroe. Is Boyd Duckett fishing FLW now or was it Luke Clausen, some how I get those 2 mixed up. Why do some anglers decide to quit fishing B.A.S.S. and go over to the FLW Tourney Trail? Can a Pro fish in both the FLW and B.A.S.S.? Is it because of Competition,The pay outs, the sponsors? Any specific reason?

Name a fishing technique that you absolutely LOATHE!
Senko is what got me started into Bass Fishing. I would cast it in a local pond that had thick mats of milfoil. You could see the fish dart out after the bait(What a rush) I have difficulty with the Carolina rig. I cant cast the darn thing effectively, and because of that,I cant fish it effectively.

Swimbaits over 6" that weigh 2oz or less?
Although I have heard people mentioning the dorsal fin looking like a toothbrush, there maybe something to that. In Alaska when the Salmon are running,we go after the Salmon with bright colored yarn snelled on Octopus hooks. Once the salmon reach the rivers for the spawn, they stop feeding. We drift the yarn flies down stream and sometimes they end up in the mouth of a Salmon. The yarn gets into the teeth, which irritates them, causing them to bite at the yarn out of aggression. The fin on the back of this swimbait may have the same idea in mind? Regardless,if you look at the bait on the BPS website,it looks like this bait gets LOTS of great reviews, and isnt overly priced.

Clear see through tube baits
Not sure, they came in a generic ziploc bag in a lot of assorted baits purchased on Ebay. I guess they arent TOTALLY clear, sorta Opaque.,but nothing I have ever seen before. Just trying to get a feel for the best time and condition to use this color.

Clear see through tube baits
I have a bag of these and was wondering under what conditions these would applicable to use? These are as described in the title, with no sparkles and no peppering effect.

Stingray Grubs
I remember a little while ago, there was a member who was up in arms about not being able to find Manns Stingray Grubs. I remember him saying these were very productive for him.Someone found them for him and all was well again. I have some of my own, they are knock offs(not MANNS) but some unknown brand in a generice ziploc bag. Ok details out of the way. What is the deal with these? Anyone else fish them and find them to be productive? What presentation is best? I can see these working for Smallies, but how are they for LMB? What action do these have that may make them productive? http://www.mannsbait.com/search.asp?Searchfield=Sting%20Ray%20Grub

Seen These? These look ridiculously good!!!
Prices are VERY Fisherman Friendly. Your not gonna break the bank by using one and losing it. These are also probably not as heavy as Hudd's and if these are anything like his Baby Bass Series Baits, these will smoke the fish.
