Jig Fishermen...how Much Is Too Much And Weather Considerations
You left out that the Shoreline all around this lake is choked with Eurasian Milfoil...yes this lake has a population of Virile Crawfish. Id be fishing from a 12' Jon Boat(sitting down) pitching/flipping is kinda out of the question. Im using a 6'9" Shimano MH Jig/wormin rod(cant remember the nomenclature) with an Okuma reel spooled with 65# braid for the Milfoil

Jig Fishermen...how Much Is Too Much And Weather Considerations
Ive been looking at forcing myself to learn a jig/trailer. I plan on going out with a Jig Box with assorted sizes from 1/4 to 3/4 oz. Ive got Arkie heads, spot remover (standup) heads, and football varieties. Ive got a variety of colored skirts PB&J, Watermelon, Green Pumpkin, Black, Black/Blue, Brown, Black /Red. Ive heard if you arent losing a few each outing, your not in the right location...this being said..how many jigs is too much...10,20,...does it even matter? Is winter a good time to try to learn a jig, or not because of the inactivity of the fish. Not sure of water temps but air temps are like in the mid 60's around here during the day, and mid to high 30's even low 40's at night. So do these temps sound "wintery" enough to try dragging a Football jig or can I get away with something with a little more action? Just trying to get an idea of how I should approach things.

Black And Blue Jigs
How about a sapphire skirt with a black trailer

Black And Blue Jigs
Sapphire!!! Thats the color I was thinking of!! Couldnt remember for the life of me..

Black And Blue Jigs
Ive seen where this is a staple in some anglers arsenal Skirts with a mix of Black and Blue Strands and a trailer with black and blue laminate or swirl What about the skirt and trailer totally contrasting each other. Like a Solid Black skirted jig and an electric blue trailer...is this still considered to be "black and blue" like everyone normally throws Does anyone have first hand experience of how effective a black and blue mix like I first mentioned above would stack up against the second example I mentioned.

Molting Craw Colors And Time Sensitivity
So this is the species in my home lake. Believe is of the Virilis(sp?) Variety. What color jig/trailer might be good to match the hatch?

Molting Craw Colors And Time Sensitivity
As a youth i caught plenty of Crawfish by hand. Some were softshelled as they likely just got done molting. Do different sub species of craws in different regions of the country have specific times of the year that they molt based on water temps ect? Or is it just a random thing for every craw? What about colors? Obviously different sub species are naturally different colors...do they all turn the same color when they molt? Basically im wondering if the "molt" is similar to the spawn a fish goes through seasonally. Do all craws molt at the same time? Or is it a individual thing like when a snake sheds? Do they all turn Blue when they molt? Ive heard alot of people using Black and Blue jigs...thats because thats a molting color and thats when craws are most vulnerable, making them easy pickings for the Bass...is this correct?

Little Twist On Float N Fly
I was under the impression that the retrieve on a f-n-f was a light twitch in calm water
-
Little Twist On Float N Fly
So i havent tried a float n fly but was doing some brainstorming and want to know what those that have experience using this technique have to say. Instead of using a bobber/float...how bout using a Rebel Popr and taking the rear hook off and fish it as normally would...Maybe give potential for the fish to try to take the Popr too. Only drawbacks i can see is potentially tangling the line for the fly in the remaining hook of the Popr and visibility issues(not able to see the Popr as a strike indicator) Whats everyone think of this??

Norman Tennessee Killer Crankbait
Might be different than mine. Mine are made of Cedar and have no rattle.

Wal-Mart Flw Round Baitcaster
Anyone know about these? The one I have is a a FLW100 modelmodel. Its black, similar in shape to an Abu Garcia 5500 series and has a bait clicker switch. The drag wheel is plastic, it has a metal reel seat and it says made "Made in China" underneath. There are no other markings.Has anyone seen one before? Could anyone take a stab at what the gear ratio is

Norman Tennessee Killer Crankbait
Does anyone know anything about these? My understanding is they are a vintage design. Made of Cedar, flat sided, with a coffin shaped medium length diving lip. Does anyone recall the diving depth on these? When were they produced?

Assistance With Abu Garcia 5000Al
Just picked this up.Seller says its "good to go." I took it apart and noticed the brake blocks on the spool are missing. What's a good part number for these brake blocks? What vintage might this be? Number on the bottom of the foot reads 84-1

Securing A T Rigged Tube With A Barrel Swivel
I've figured with a bead behind the bullet wieght it will create a bunch of commotion as it strikes that swivel...maybe a good thing...

Weedless Finesse Tube ... Which Hook Is Correct?
On the back of a pack SK Coffee tubes it recommends a 3/0 hook for 3.5 "tubes and a 4/0 hook for 4.5" tubes...

Anybody Buy Soft Plastics Off Ebay?
I've purchased TONS of soft plastic lots on Ebay. Just picked up a clear Plano storage box with Hooks, sinkers, swivels, beads, Zoom Super Hogs, lizards and Strike King River bugs for $.99 with $5.00 shipping..how can you POSSIBLY go wrong??? I even sometimes buy lots out of curiousity. I can't make out what's in the picture so its a mystery until it arrives. I then take what I like (EVERYTHING usually) and sell the rest to try to recoup my spendings.Works sometimes..

Couple Of Questions About Tubes...
First off...how effective are they? I'm gonna give em a whirl T Rigged next year. Is there a certain time of the year they work better than other times of the year? Anyone thrown them on a punchin rig?? I've got a slither rig I may try a tube with depending on responses...

Securing A T Rigged Tube With A Barrel Swivel
Has anyone seen this tip? I had an image of it on my phone, but seemed to have lost it. Basically when rigging a T Rigged Tube, a barrel swivel is used to secure the tube to the hook so it won't slide on the hook. Anyone seen this...I'm trying to remember how its rigged and can't remember...help would be appreciated.

Best Application For This Rod?
Recently picked up a MH 6'0" Daiwa Triforce Z casting rod. What's the best application for this rod? I'm guessing it would be good for bladed baits (spinner/buzz/chatterbaits)...would that be correct? What, if anything, else would be a good application for this rod?
-
Is This A Bargain?
Well, went to look at what the guy offered. I immediately went for the St Croix...looked the others over and went for the Daiwa. Money was exchanged...right afterwards I get "Oh yeah, forgot to tell you...tip on the Mojo is broken..." Dude busted my bubble...told him I would pass, but grabbed the Shimano. The Shakespeare combo was more for Catfish and Ive already got a Berkley Rod like he's offering...Guess I got all excited about the MOJO rod. Glad the seller said something...always double check condition on all rods you purchase and don't let the excitement of a great deal cloud your judgement...like it did mine.

Is This A Bargain?
I've already purchased 1 rod from this seller...thought I was gettong a deal turns out I got it for $10 less than retail...wasn't to stoked...but these here I might not be able to pass up.
