I met Marty Stone a couple years back at a fishing expo. After his seminar, I went up to him to ask a couple follow up questions. As I approached, he introduced himself to me and shook my hand and answered my all questions. He's one class act indeed!!!

I'm not familiar with the newer Accurists (I onlt have the older models) but to me, it sounds like the spring on the flippin switch may have come off. Hopefully, Reel Mech will see this and chime in with the same or other options on what might be wrong.

Well shoot! I wish I would have seen you guys! It would have been great to meet you two! hjerk, I checked out that KVD crankbait rod too! All I can say is WOW! dave, what time were you at BPS? I think I got over there a little after 5 and left about 7. Had to resist the Bait Monkey from spending any more $$ than I did! ;D I didn't buy anything at the expo but picked up some crankbaits, a bunch of tubes, a jerkbait and 2 packs of Rage Tail 10" Anacondas (can't wait to try them out)!

Did anyone make it to the Timonium fishing expo? I lucked out with the truck and picked it up this morning! I made it over to the expo about 10:30. I met up with jake and basschamp35 and was over in the seminar area most of the day. I was pretty disappointed with the expo this year. Peter T did put on a pretty good seminar on carolina rigging and I got a free Optimum swimbait but there just wasn't anywhere near as much there this year as in years past. Luckily, since I was out that way, I stopped in at BPS afterwards and spent some Christmas gift cards on some much needed baits! ;D If anyone was there and saw someone walking around in a Bass Resource sweatshirt, that was me. Had to represent!!!

I'd try to set something up but my truck is in the shop and I'm not sure yet if I'll be able to go yet. My plan WAS to go on saturday but if the truck isn't ready then I'll have to miss it this year. If someone else wants to arrange a place to meet up, go for it!!!

Ebby, I didn't forget about you on this! Last night seemed to be the night for phone calls so I didn't have a chance to get to it last evening. Hopefully, with all the calls out of the way, I can post the picture this evening.

I "think" I might know which one you're talking about because I have one that sounds like it. When I get home this evening, I'll take a picture of it to see if it is the one you're talking about.

There's a handful of us ReelMech! ;D Unfortuneately, I haven't had a chance to try out any of the '09 models yet. When I do, it will probably be the Energy.

Man, I'd have to get a part time job there if I lived that close! At least I'd be getting paid for some of the time I'd be spending there! ;D

Just wanted to give everyone a friendly reminder. Thursday starts the Maryland Fishing Expo at the Timoium State Fair Grounds and goes through sunday! I'm not positive if I'm going yet or not but if I do, I'll be there on saturday. Anyone else plan on attending?

I'm going to have to throw my Shallow Invaders in the one lake I fish. I've had some big ones on in that lake on smaller cranks and I'm pretty sure they've never seen anything like that at the lake I'm thinking of!

I have a 9 year old Quantum baitcaster (soon to be 10 y/o) that I still use all the time for deep cranking. Still works as well as the first day I bought it.

I did that once too to a Stowaway that I had a while back. It doesn't sound like it went as dry as what yours did though. I filled mine up with distilled water and that got me through the majority of that year. Picked up a new battery the following year. Good luck!!!!

Hey Brian, For PEPCO, my better outings there are best on the days that are on the nasty cold side! The other day when I was there, the temps were mild and they weren't pumping any warm water what so ever. I really worked hard to get the 4 I did. Not sure yet, but I might try getting out on sunday (got my license this evening! ;D ). I'd go tomorrow but I'm hitting Bass Pro to spend some Christmas $!!! Hey Mike, Where was the warm water spot you were fishing? I only know of the one here in Williamsport and the one in Dickerson. I copied your link and was able to pull up the pic. Nice work!

Well, I made it out to PEPCO today. Conditions weren't the best since they weren't discharging any warm water. I managed 4 small smallies on cranks. One on a firetiger and the others on a khaki/brown back/red belly Bandit 100 series. Saw the herring again but it decided not to beg for food this time! ;D
