Maryland's Who's who!
Welcome back BornXEyed! Welcome to THE boards Adi! It's not as bad for me with BPS since I'm over here in Washington county. Bad thing is, I have two options then. I'm an hour and fifteen mintes from the Hanover store and an hour and thirty minutes from the Harrisburg store. Both are just far enough away to keep the temptation down somewhat but close enough if I need something bad! ;D

WOMEN !!!!
"Women! Ya can't live with them and they can't pee standing up...." (quote from Major League 2) ;D

Which of these hosts is the most entertaining??
I agree with you 100%. Of the 9 hooks on a LC Slender Pointer, I wonder how many I could get to stick in him on one cast...... Hey Speed! Maybe we could challenge him to a musky fishing outing! Bigger baits and BIGGER HOOKS! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D My vote's for Zona.

Does burning baits only apply to lipless cranks?
This is something I've read about may times over but haven't done it in the winter/spring. Since I'm a little further north than most, what water temps do you look for to determine whether the conditions are right for burning any lure?

Spinnerbait storage
I modified a couple Plano 3700 boxes with a Dremel so they're set up similiar to the Falcon boxes (but mine holds more). After seeing the boxes Burley suggested, I may have to check these new Plano boxes out! Better concept, IMO. Thanks for sharing that Burley!

Hollow belly swimbaits
Hey, check out ***'s hollow bodied swimbaits as well! Brent has some great colors that I'll be picking up to try this year!
- One or Two ...

Potomac River
Welcome to the boards! Wish I could help you out in the areas you're asking about. I've only hit the power plant discharges in Washington and Montgomery counties. Hopefully, some others can help you outwith the conditions in your neck of the woods!

Lake Redman, PA.
Welcome to the boards jmh285 and R@ngerman195vs! While I haven't caught any smallies at Marburg, I know there are some in there (if memory serves me right, there are walleye in there as well). So if you're looking for more of a mixed bag of species, Marburg is probably a better choice for you.

Risto rap
I picked the whole series of these when they first came out. To date, I've caught a total of 3 fish on the Risto Raps (1 musky and 2 largemouths). Needless to say, I don't throw them anymore.

Quality of Quantum Customer service
I was told by a Quantum rep at one of the BPS Spring Classics a few years ago, the margins on the rods are even better than on the reels. If that is still true today, I wouldn't see why they wouldn't do the same thing with the rods.

What speed for spinnerbaits?
I like a slower gear ratio for throwin spinnerbaits. The two reels I usually throw spinnerbaits on are an Accurist AC400 and an Energy E750PT (both have a 5.1:1 gear ratio). I may use a faster reel if I was throwing them for smallies to be able to pick up line a little quicker.

Hooked on Bass, a new show on tonight
That was pretty good! Although I don't remember reading about the death of Dottie before. :-?

Hooked on Bass, a new show on tonight
I think he was a fisheries biologist that became pro. Yeah, I'm pretty sure he was a fisheries biologist first but don't understand why he didn't have the pro label along side his fisheries biologist tag. I'd think he deserves that!

Hooked on Bass, a new show on tonight
Wish I could help ya Robby! Could someone tell me when Ken Cook stopped being a pro and is just a fisheries biologist???? :-?

LETHAL
Now that's funny! But I have to say, there's a private pond I get to fish on occassion that some of the people that fishes there use hot dogs and even brauts and catch bass up around 25" or so. If they'd make a larger version (hot dog or braut sized), I consider using them! ;D

Hooked on Bass, a new show on tonight
Luckily, wallyball was cancelled this evening! So I get to watch it! ;D I'm watching the special on snakeheads now. It's pretty interesting! I didn't realize the giant snakehead was found in Florida. WOW!

Way to go Steelers!!!!
Good game for sure!
-
your favourite flourocarbon as main line
BPS XPS Fluro for me. I may give Suffix's fluro a shot this year. It'll have to be very impressive for me to switch to it though.

Penny Tube
Can't say I've ever tried that. Although, I think I loose enough tubes in the places I fish them! I don't know if I want to be throwing more money away! ;D

Rat-L-Trap Type Baits
I carry several brands in my lipless box: RatLTraps, Super Spots, Diamond Shads, Red Eye Shads and the Bill Norman brand (the name eludes me right now). While I usually start off with my 'Traps, there are days when one brand outshines the others. Whether its the profile, action or sound. If I'm in an area that screams lipless cranks, I'll run through the different brand until I find the one they want. I've become a believer in trying different weights as well. And have started adding a collection of smaller lipless cranks to my arsenal as well. I've had several occassions when the standard (1/2oz) size wouldn't catch a cold but when I switched up to a smaller (1/4oz) one they tore it up!

Are Jitterbugs still great?
Jitterbugs produced for me last year on several occassions when nothing else would. I will throw this bit of caution out there. They seem to be having a problem with the quality of the newer jointed ones (like Muddy, I'm using the 5/8oz size). The tail unscrews itself from the main body. I've lost a couple tails off 2 of my newer ones that I've bought in the last two years. LBH gave me a simple solution to resolve this. If you see one starting to come off, take the tail section off and add a drop or two of super glue to it and put it back together. After doing this, I haven't had any problems with those baits.
