Oil Prices Plunge!
Brother's place? Still around 2.75 in my area right now. I heard 2.30 something around Carlisle/Mechanicsburg... Technically, my parents but yes, up in Juniata county.

Double buzz bait
Hart's and Strike King's are my two favorites!

Oil Prices Plunge!
Still holding around $2.79 around here in MD but I paid $2.45 over the weekend up in PA.

Hey Matt, At the end of your retrieve, instead of picking the bait up and making another cast, you simply drop the rod tip in the water and make an "L" move at the boat and then go into the figure 8 motion. If you see one following and she's a BIG one, you may have to use a circular motion instead so the fish can keep up with the bait.

When is your season over????
Season ends for me on December 31 at 11:59:59. It starts back up as soon as I get my new license in 2009! 8-)

XPS cranks
Never popped into my head to take it back. Figures, I don't have that one anymore though. A stump in about 5' liked it more than I did obviously. ;D

Lunch time Rage Tailin'
Thanks all! Strike King definitely has me covered on toads! If they don't like the more aggressive sound of the Rage Tail toads, I can switch up of the SG Toad! Love the sound of both of them and now, both have produced for me! Cool deal Brian! Thanks! That's an area I can honestly say I've never checked out!

Roy Willaims in Big D
guess the offensive problems are all fixed now and we'll win every game from here on out?????? :-? Oh yeah, there's that whole defense thing where they can't tackle anyone! I did see the Romo is saying he wants to play through the pain. Actually hope he doesn't! I'd rather have him 100% for the rest of the year then banged up playing hurt. If we can block for Brad, I think he'll do ok. Just please don't ask him to scramble! LOL

fish total
I'm right around 230 right now. 2 1/2 months to go yet before the year is up. For some reason, I see my smallie count going up, especially in December! I've had more better than average weight bass this year but no good ones (landed) and the one pond that I go to has produced very few for me this year. Last year, it was nothing for a double digit numbers outing (2-3hrs) but this year my best day there has been 5. :-/

Fredrick Lake near Harrisburg, Pa
At or near the power plant, I have only caught smallies, an occasional largemouth and a handful of rock bass. Someone else I know can add walleye to the mix too. I have heard of muskies being caught there in the winter too but have never witnessed that.

Susquehanna River Tom. morning
That stinks! Sorry to hear that Mike! I had to laugh when you said you were going to stick to the Juniata though. The part of the Juniata I know best probably averages 2' or less. Good to know there are other sections that actually hold fish! LOL

All in-one-tool or ?
I use my Gerber all the time! Absolutely love the scissors on this tool! They'll cut braid like its mono! The Carbide cutters are good but can be awkward to use if you need to cut a hook out of a fish. I had an issue about 2 years ago where the release button (for the head piece)broke. I called Gerber up and they sent me the replacement parts (free, limited lifetime warranty) in just a couple of days! Gerber has great customer service, IMO!

XPS cranks
The splatterback is the bomb 8-) Great, a color I don't have! LOL I've only had one of the Static Shad series that rolled on me and could not get it tuned in to save my life. That's the only issue I've had with any of mine.

XPS cranks
Obviously, spinnerbaits are more my thing but I do know there are times that crankbaits will out produce my beloved spinnerbaits (pick your jaw up SPEEDBEAD! LOL!). With that said, I have had success with the BPS XPS Nitro Extreme Crank and the Static Shad series (the one I think kinda looks like the Rapala Shad Rap).

Fredrick Lake near Harrisburg, Pa
Dickerson? Never heard of it! LOL! Was there over the weekend. Managed a small largemouth out of the canal and then hit the discharge for smallies. Nothing big on the smallie side, caught them on tubes and cranks. I do have the power plant in Williamsport as well but that place gets crowded REAL quick!

Lunch time Rage Tailin'
Yeah, I feel really lucky! I can be at parts of the lake in 5-10 minutes from work! That place has come in handy on days where I need to clear my head! In the past, when I had different management, I was allowed to take extended lunches from time to time. Heck the boss would come with me on occasion! LOL! Good deal Brian! Are ya willing to share that spot with me? jokin!

Quantum Accurist CX (modified)?
Ditto! btw, Quantum has updated their website and you can see the whole Quantum line up (with MSRP's) so you can compare reel spec's and pricing as well.

Fredrick Lake near Harrisburg, Pa
Ok, thanks for clarifying that one! Yeah, sorry, I've never fished that! Like I said, hopefully someone else can give you a little insight! If it's below TMI, you should have favorable water temps. I just started fishing the one coal burning power plant close to me on the Potomac. Good luck and let us know how you make out!

Lunch time Rage Tailin'
Popped out to the local lake at lunch time today to get away from the job for a little bit. Sun was in and out and the wind gave me a little chop on the water. Checked the water temp (64F) and decided to give the Rage Tail Toad another go today. 10 minutes into my 40 minute time line, I hooked up with a little keeper sized largemouth. She was about 15-16" and guessed a little over a pound. Should have taken a pic since it was my first Rage Tail bass but I'll wait til she gets a few pounds heavier! Hee hee hee

Fredrick Lake near Harrisburg, Pa
Can't say I've ever heard of that lake. I tried to do a google map on it but nothing came up. I had even pulled up a map of around Harrisburg to see if I could find it that way but no luck. Is Harrisburg the closest town/city? Maybe someone a little closer may know something.

The Ultimate fishing ringtone...If you like the quantum song!
I have Motorola's phone tool software as well. Downloaded the whole song to the pc and then edited it and transferred it to my phone. I've done this with several songs now. Great little tool! I've had the Quantum song on my phone for a few months now. Gummybear, I'll see if I still have the original and send it to you.

How Do You Spell S-T-E-W-P-U-D?
PACMAN = MORON! End o story! T.O. will be interesting to watch over the next couple of weeks with Romo being out. Brad Johnson has probably not worked much with him since he's been on the second string. Brad is more than likely going to go to the receivers he's most comfortable with first. At least, I don't think T.O's outfits can get any worse! LOL The bye week can't get here soon enough now! I'm just hoping we can keep pace with the rest of the NFC East til then! Maybe the rest of the defense will finally show up!

Quantum Accurist CX (modified)?
I own several Accurists but they are the older model. I haven't had any problems with them (except one which was caused by user error). My brother, mobydick, has one and likes it. Keep in mind the '08 model is the last for the Accurist, moving forward, the Burst and the Code (price wise) are replacing the Accurist. Spec wise, the Catalyst is the replacement. I've never used a BPS reel so I can't comment on them.

Beautiful 48 inch Muskie
It's an in-line spinnerbait. They have both bucktail or silicone skirts.
