  1. a heavy powered , fast action rod in the brand you choose .........
  2. i use these and i catch more fish than on the rage toad ;) btw, they are the Canyon Plastics 4.5" frog .....
  3. Strike king red eye shad , 1/2 oz. , "sexy shad" color .........
  4. if you are reffering to the photo i posted of the reins swamp cross in the post awhile back , this one is different , this is BPS's version of it ............
  5. Rowland , please tell me you did not replace your Revo's with zillons have you bumped your head :-/
  6. just seen these on the bass pro shops site , their new bait is just like the Megastrike's wing ding http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10217613_100007001_100000000_100007000_100-7-1
  7. would be a nice mantle ornament !!!!! ;D ;D ;D
  8. why don't you do it the right way , go to a rod builder , choose the hook keeper you would like to have on the rod and have him/her wrap one one in exactly the spot you want it at !!! and it will look like it came from the factory !!!! should only cost you like 20 bucks and the price of a hook keeper (like 2 bucks)
  9. for small hopping jig presentations on the bottom , a Roboworm Pitchin' Kraw is hard to beat . i like throwing them on an Owner stand up jig
  10. between lures , soft plastics , swimbaits , line , and terminal tackle , i probably spend about $500.00 a year . if i am purchasing reels or having rods made , double that (or more) ;D
  11. looks like it will catch a lot of fisherman ;D seriously tho , i don't believe that the super realistic paint job will do anything for a REACTION type bait !!! i am pretty sure that a bass will never see the top of that bait ........
  12. a Strike King red eye shad , this is lately been the only hard bait (besides swimbaits) that i have been throwing and i've been killing them at a little pond that is heavily fished . these baits flat out catch fish !!!! the only thing you might want to do is change out the hooks if they start straighting out on you . i have also put on a feathered treble instead of a plain rear hook . white/chartruse on the sexy shad color is crazy
  13. that's how you master a technique !!! keep at it till you get it down
  14. also at Tackle Warehouse http://www.***.com/Shimano_Stella_Spinning_Reels_FD/descpage-SSTD.html
  15. thanks , that is the website i was looking for !! i thought i had that link saved in my favorites , i appreciate it
  16. a smokin' roooster on crack ;D ;D ;D
  17. to me Yo-zuri is trash , go with 6 lb. P-line CXX ........
  18. as the topic says , who sells the best lure eyes , looking for glass 3-d style eyes , preferrabely gold eyes . thanks if you guys can post links , just not cheap ones like JannsNetcraft ....
  19. anyone get one yet ?? Cabelas has them for sale , they look pretty sweet , might have to get one soon http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0082783125565a&navCount=3&podId=0082783&parentId=cat20331&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat20331&catalogCode=XA&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20331&hasJS=true
  20. use braid and a flouro leader ..........
  21. Who makes XPS? I believe it's rebranded Toray... wrong , seaguar makes it .......... : btw, BPS's XPS line is not even close to Toray's line
  22. X2 Confidence...zilch. How many do I have? 2. Maybe I should start pitching it in the weeds to get a reaction strike???? you have to try the 6" bbz-1 , i just got it in "floater" , this thing is sweet !!! it stays about a half a foot below the surface and has great action , only fished a bit last night but i know it will kill them
  23. as far as snaps go , i use norman speed clips in the magnum size for jointed swimbaits and i have never had problems with them . for crankbaits , i use BPS duo-lock style snaps and they work great and they cost $1.99 !!! i have used Berkely Cross-locks but those things end up breaking after 10-15 lure changes , the metal is way too brittle !! so if you want good snaps , try the Bass Pro Shops fast-lock bass snaps http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_7816_100010005_100000000_100010000_100-10-5
  24. they should of been in a $.50 bin ;D i usually don't buy soft plastics on a whim , just stick to what i know works but maybe try different colors . as far as a stick bait that works as good as the original Senko , the closest i found is the strike king ocho's that i originally said in the post . some times it is better to pay the 2-3 bucks a pack more for a good bait !!!! :-/
  25. cinnamon brown , blue/black , and green pumpkin , in that order , all in 5"
