Pitchinkid thats just wierd... I just put my swimbaits in my daughters aquarium and force them to practice! Keeps them in line! got to be strict and enforce them to catch bass talking to them they will just be scared when they see a fish! Now i need to go armor them with Gama's!

I have a boat that has an open seat for most of the week Firefightn15 and I are gona pair up for a few days. So any expierianced anglers who dont mind riding on a 14'ft 79 boat and are willing to teach me a little Id appriciate it. Im hoping to lern more by going on this trip as i only know a few things that do work at the momnent. Send me a pm if your intersted with the days - Or will we be working days out when we get there? Thanks agagin to all the mods getting this thing going - I can't wait to meet you all in Kentucky!

Thanks for your sugestions - I would have never thought of the dark colors in heat - Gona go to BPS and see what they offor and take a look at some other boats. Will update if anyone is intersted. Or ya can wait for the finished product in Kentucky

I have seen a little cage you attach to the side of the boat from BPS dont know how wll it works though.

Well im about to restore my little boat its 14 ft with 20 hp mercury Im gona paint it the same color as my Ranger which is Silver however im kinda stuck on Color for the carpet / seats and such... what do you think My truck interrior is Black ... I cant seem to find any carpet / seats that match black so it comes down to me asking for opinions what you think would be the best (but still low in price) to redo the interior seats and carpeting on the deck.

Just checked mine and didnt see any .- Best bet is to order direct. I agree with you I hate the wait when ordering online but somtiems its less expensive than to drive.

Yes and No.... I know thats not the answer your looking for but it depends on the temp .. water temp and more - Do you have a Fish finder? if anything id sugest getting the Hummingbird 190 i think is $80 bucks at BPS. This might help you find structure ... id start there.

What is the Master Catalog you all are talking of? I have the Green Covered one ... Someone told me there is a HARD COVER on one... I spend lots of money at BPS but never recieve anything unless I log on the webstie and order it...

Well Bass - Im in the Same boat as you (No punn Intended) I just recently bought a 20 HP 14ft bass boat and i was CLUELESS once i got to the water. Id recomend spending your first full day on the water figuring things out. In my case that was how the ignition / speeds worked, How to unload the thing, how to attach trolling motor and batterys, checking for leaks, fixing lighting issues etc. After i was confidant enough i left the boat ramp and just circled as much of the lake as posible getting a feel for the boat. My poles were on bord but I didnt touch them until my return to the boat ramp. I spent the first 4 hours or so looking for places to fish and when i found them id mark them on a GPS, Then go look for a few more. The next day I fished. No catches but fished (Took me a while to get used to the Trollin motor) Lern your boat the best you can before fishin Is what i was told when i asked a similar question.

When I got mine at Walmart the guy was so preocupied with his fishing stories he gave me my Years permit for 5$. I didn't notice until i was at home and went over the reciept. LOL Wish it was this much every year

I Ran the boat on the weekend and left the plug in when it dried i seen a spot its coming in at right at the tip of the V in the front so i stuck some silicone on it temporarily and its holding but now im gona tear the thing apart and start the renovation. Anyone have a recomendation on: Fiberglass resin (I believe its fiberglass like tigerhair) Paint? - Not sure what i can do here but definatly want it to clean up a bit its peeling pretty good Was thinking of matching the paint on the boat to my truck Silver Ford Ranger with Black interior however black seems to be a odd color . Carpet im thinking home Depot will have. Than im ordering 2 Optima batterys and new fishie finder . Gona re wire in my lights to a togle on the dash rather than the riged way it is now . All in all i have about 800 to spend on it . Hoping this is enough .

Anyone recomend a good Resin to patch the bottom and my live well ? Im a auto mechanic and thought of using bondo or somthing similar from napa. Also Is marine paint diff than Auto im assuming ....
