Shaky Head or a Dropshot No?

I have spent all day in one area ... no joke 10 hours in one spot with some submerged trees and such and not caught a thing as i pack up and leave someone else comes in and grabs one (usualy a dink) but goes to show that fish move. My grandpa used to say 2 objects will find eachother faster if one is still... I try to keep this in mind by staying in an area until im bord to tears or out of new lures Than again maybe this is why i have a 0 bass count this year ?

I order quite a bit from Cabelas and havnt gotten anything but their standard cataloge - How much did yall spend? I must have ordered about 800 between Fishing Camping and clothing.

I have only been to a few Cab stores but i think BPS kicks their bass when it comes to knowledge and organization . CAb is good cataloge ordering though id stick with that IMO

Going out today to the Catawba river (NC) - I hope to have somthing this time been out everyweekend this year and a few weekdays and NOTHING its driving me insane.... Believe me my camera is collecting dust.

I'm glad you asked Dadto4 Its somthing i didn't quite understand either but this helps big time - read some of the dropshot articles but i think the paintshop pic helped the best and a few of the articles RW posted i never saw. Thanks will give this a shot today after work.

I have had a time where i was fishing and a girl walked down the path next to me and made rude comments about fishing than about 20 min later she came back with her boyfriend who looked like a hippy. He went on and on and on and on about how i was Littering the lake with lead and killing nature. I explained to him i release everything i catch and that got him more upset so he kicked my tacklebox in the river .... the rest i shouldnt post but he crawled away.

Are bluegill that ez to catch? Sounds like it if you catch 50 -100 in a day !

What is this about? I havn't seen or herd anything in my area (Charlotte) . I tryed the website listed above but it didnt load up with anything except thir homepage.

OH YEAH - Thats similar to the one on my local lake I catch them under the dock on mine (Its shaped in a U so you can fish from one point under the other) Try a Jig out and as stated before try shade to sun and all over - In the colder weather try to hit one spot at least 8X . I fished a dock like this once and only casted arround it once about 10 min later another guy casted at the same spot of the dock about 5 times and caught a HUGE bass I could see it from the other side of the lake. So ive lerned to slow down and fish the same spot over and over even if you dont get a reaction on the first drop.

I would get jigie with it or maybe a spinner - Senkos would be great arround the docks and trees. Looks like some nice water though got to have good size fishies in it.
