I think I am. I try to find gifts that fit the person's interests that he or she would not think to buy. My wife is great at buying gifts for me. I try to leave a list of exactly what I want in the office at all times. ;D

Burley, at least you got the Steelers/Titans game. I got paid programming. What a load of crap. College football is just as bad when it comes to commercials. Other than that, it's far superior.

I'm right there with you. I'm grateful I have a job, but as soon as a more fitting opportunity opens up, I'm out of here.

Thanks, Glenn. I understand why companies choose to operate their online business differently, but it still doesn't make any sense. It's happened to me at Toys R Us, BPS, and a couple of other stores. In most cases, even the store manager has held firm to the prices. I'm to the point that I'll call the store first. In the case of a rod, I'd like to go to the store, pick out the rod I want, and safely transport it home. Then, I won't have to deal with the hassle of exchanging a broken rod.

Anyone else have a store not honor an online sale price? That frustrates me to no end. In multiple instances at various stores, I've seen an item priced the same both online and in-store. The item goes on sale online only. The store will not honor the online sale price. I can understand the online being priced less than the in-store item because of the shipping and handling, but I cannot understand how a company can rationalize selling the exact same item at different pricing points. Is there something I do not understand?

For some reason, CBS in my neck of the woods decided to offer us paid programming instead of a football game that determined the top seed in the AFC along with home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I was very upset. The Titans played great football. My Steelers have some things to work on for the next meeting...

Louisiana has reciprocal fishing agreements with bordering states. If I'm not mistaken, you can fish a body of water on the border with either state's resident license without penalty.

I'd like to see Teixera with the Red Sox as well. Before the Hot Stove season started, he claimed he wanted to make his decision before Christmas. We're waaaiting... With Sabathia, they got into a bidding war against themselves. ;D Besides, Sabathia hasn't fared very well against the Red Sox, especially in the postseason. Isn't that who they're trying to beat?? Burnett will be the ghost of Pavano. They needed pitching, and on paper, they improved. I don't think the pitchers will be effective for the length they're signed though. But they also need to improve their defense and replace the offense they're losing from Giambi and Abreu. We're far from done, though. I can't wait for the season to start.

Being a Steelers fan, I must say the Steelers are the best team in the AFC. The defense is tops in the league, and they're winning tough, close games at home and on the road. In the NFC, the Giants are still the team to beat. Carolina, though, is getting it done under the radar. I'd like to see a rematch from earlier this season in the Super Bowl: Steelers vs. Giants.

I'm going with McCoy. He's done more with less consistently all year. More than likely, Tebow will win though. Bradford and McCoy could end up with splitting votes because they're both from the same region.

The Sox will ship off Lowell once other teams see he is healthy. Also, what about Smoltz and the Sox?? Oh, and Manny isn't happy with the lack of interest in him...so he might retire. : The Yanks still have a lot of work to do. They're going after Burnett hardcore. He'll end up on the disabled list when he hurts himself signing the contract. ;D

Here's why I dislike the snow. From the National Weather Service: "MANY ACCIDENTS WERE STATE POLICE THIS MORNING IN THE BATON ROUGE AND THIS THREAT WILL SPREAD EAST." What threat? The threat of people not knowing how to drive? :-? LOOK OUT THOSE IN THE EAST!!! A large swarm of poor drivers will be heading your way. ;D

We've got a nice blanket at the house. When my wife woke up, she called me and very excitedly told me "IT'S SNOWING!!" Yep, it is...since around 4:00 A.M. ;D If she takes some pics, I'll post them later. I strongly dislike the snow...
