  1. I agree. Tatsu is the best flouro out there. I use 12lb for swim jigs in open water, 6lb for drop shots on spinning gear, 15lb and 20lb for jigs on other setups. Stuff is un-beatable.
  2. If you fish lizards, and you haven't tried the Rage Lizard, you are missing out. I have 1 wife, and 2 friends with PB's on the Rage Lizard, all rigged weightless on a 3/0 hook, summertime.
  3. Sounds like a great trip! Glad you all had fun, and congrats on the beautiful fish!
  4. I can usually catch those fish with a swim jig. Sometimes, you gotta throw multiple times, and find the right speed, but you get it to 'em, and they'll eat it. For me it's usually a perch or bluegill color swim jig, with a Watermelon Red Baby Craw. Yup, I meant Rage Tail Baby Craw, and no, I never tone down the action for the colder temps. Sort of for the same reason why loud obnoxious rattle baits work in winter. Why quiet it down? The vibration let's them know in advance that a meal is coming, let's them get the idea in their head, then when they can, they jump on it.
  5. For shallow grass, it's very hard to beat a Rage-Rigged Anaconda or Recon Worm. 1/4oz 5/0 Moaner Stroker for me, too.

  7. Yeah, I was still cold.
  8. Me, too! Open water in the river means, if I get a chance to go, I'm gone, no matter what the weather is doing. This day was a high of 17 degrees on the day a major storm was rolling in, and the wind was over 20, water 39. We got 3 feet of snow that day. 40's is warm n' cozy!
  9. Oh, buddy, now you're talkin'! I agree with RW, can't have too many.
  10. Nice fish! Congrats on the new PB!
  11. Great shot, and yet another awesome fish!
  12. Football jig/Rage Craw. Of course the Rage-Rigged Craw gets plenty, too.
  13. Here's my top 3. All caught between November and now (but not in my home state of NH). Jig/Rage Lobster Tx rigged Rage Tail Recon Worm jig/Rage Lobster
  14. Black n' Blue mop jig with a Sapphire Blue Rage Lobster.
  15. No, the Space Monkey has not been discontinued. In fact, it's going to be available in new colors here real soon.
  16. I'll be there this year, too. Brother In Law lives up there.
  17. The fishing there in the Summer, is fair to average, with at least a couple 5's a day not out of the question, with the chance of bigger fish in the 6-8lb class. There are LM and SM, I target the LM mostly, and have had a couple real good days there. I pretty much fish a jig/Rage Craw all the time, or get to flippin' some of the rocks, pads, and laydowns in the coves with a Rage Hawg. In July, think deeper drop offs, like the middle-top part of the lake for the better part of the day. Lots of pleasure boats when the weather is nice, and they hold quite a few tourny's there each year, so might want to book accordingly. I give it a B+ overall, and I'll be out there a few times this year.
  18. This new one here in NH will be 15 mins from my house. I've already put in the change off address forms to get my mail delivered there.
  19. Yeah, for me, any bass over 6lbs at least gets a photo, but I consider anything in NH over 8lbs a trophy fish, 5lbs for smallies. I've caught 12 LM in NH over 8lbs (1 over 9), but only 4 SM over 5lbs. When I'm fishing down south, though, I only consider a 10lb bass "a nice bass" (like a 5lb NH fish), it's gotta be 11-12lbs to be real nice, and 13+ a trophy.
  20. Dude, I was there, too! Me, Big O, and Debra Hengst came through to have some ribs and a brew with the BR crew. Good time!
  21. Great shot! Great fish!
  22. Recon for sure! Right now, that bait's got me my PB.
  23. Welcome! Great intro!
