What package/model/engine should I get on a F150?
My opinion. Get the V8. I have an F250 gasser 6.2L with the standard transmission. The 10 speed wasn't available when I bought mine. I'm not a fan of the bells and whistles. I'm at 50k trouble free miles, knock on wood. My son has an F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost. It's been in the shop for various engine issues. All under warranty, some under recall. Keep it simple.

Boats are a pain to own?
Weigh your priorities. Boat ownership isn't for everyone.

I’m gonna be a daddy!
Congrats. Be careful what you wish for. My son is now 31, addicted to bass fishing, and owns a house on a lake. I created a monster.

Not sure I follow either but not worrying about what others think about you is the way everyone should go thru life. The only ones I need to worry about pleasing are mom, dad, and God. Everyone else can go scratch.

Had this been your original post, you would have got a completely different response from the crowd. There are a lot of very generous good hearted people on BR. Does that come in corn or peanut flavor?

Generally the lures can be found somewhere under the bobber trees

Could I tow long distance with a Toyota Tacoma?
You got hosed. I had oil changes and tire rotations done evey 5000 miles on my Tundra for 10 years at the dealership. 39.95 On my Super Duty gasser, oil changes at Goodyear are 30.00

Free lures
Honestly, I don't mean it to be an A $ $ When I was young and broke, I used Culprit worm and Booya spinnerbaits. 2 baits in my arsenal. Now that I'm old and broke, I use jigs. 1 bait in my arsenal. Don't ask for free stuff.

h'bird mega in very fertile water
Lund is gone a month ago, nothing more for me to try. I just bought a Garmin Echomap unit for my in between boat. I paid more for the graph than I did for the boat.

First time buying a boat
Boats are getting premium pricing right now. The age of the boat is relative. A 20 year old boat garage kept and used 1/2 dozen times a year will be in different condition than a 20 year old boat used 100 times a year or more. If the price is acceptable to you, talk to the owner and see if you can make a deal contingent on an inspection by a professional. I just sold an 8 year old boat and the buyer paid for the inspection 100%. Had he asked me to split the cost I would have because I knew the boat was in good condition.

I have a 1960 something Evinrude that I gave to my son with another 14ft boat. He's giving the motor back to me. The boat I gave him was a 14ft Lund that I threw both a bow and transom mount motor on. He lives on an 80 acre lake and said the TM's are fine for what he needs.

Smokey Bourbon Bread Pudding
It went over well. 1/2 the tray got eaten alamode with vanilla ice cream. The other half went home with dad.

Where have all the kayaks gone?
I'm a JB dealer. They're local to Chicago and very popular around here. I've been out of the field for 9 years. When I was still turning wrenches, I had a JB pump that was trouble free for 20 years. ICM or IDEC for the relay

How many carry while out fishing in the boat.
Vedder makes a real nice pocket holster. I have one for my LCP .380

Where have all the kayaks gone?
A lot of manufacturing in the US was put on hold as well. Part of the problem across the board is inventories were depleted. Companies can't replenish their inventories because demand for the backorders are still high. I run an hvac parts supply house. We're waiting months for things that were readily available pre-pandemic. Customs is another ***** in the chain. I deal with manufacturers that have stock available in Mexico and the lead times are 3-5 weeks.
