  1. My first go at 4 Roses. Good stuff. In my top 5 for <$30 bourbon.
  2. I'm not a bbq purist. It needs to taste good and I don't want to taste smoke 3 days after I had the meal. I do a hybrid pulled pork and have been told by most everyone who has had it, it's the best they've ever had. Just took my first ever ham off the smoker. Looks good. It's resting under foil right now.
  3. I dream about you dreaming about me dreaming about you.
  4. A young, 20 something, couple moved in next door to me. The house has been a rental for some time now, they purchased it. In the last couple months I have been working on my boat in the driveway. His fiancé introduced themselves to me when I was working on the boat and he was silent. "He's a musky fisherman" yadda yadda yadda. I come back from the lake today. He was building something in the garage and he asked how I did. I started talking to him and he's telling me he has a ton of cash tied up in his gear. Shows me 2 St Croix musky rods with Revo Toros. I'll give him this. When I was his age, I might have had $100 bucks total invested in my gear. He had me beat. I didn't dare invite him into my garage/tackle shop. Kid had his bachelor party last weekend. I didn't want to be the one responsible for ruining his relationship.
  5. You dream about me?
  6. What did I just watch????
  7. You hear they're not making Fords any longer? They're long enough.
  8. When you have the lake to yourself.
  9. Went to my favorite panfish lake this morning with dad. Water 60* and very low. We need rain!!! Not a lot of size to the fish but we probably caught 50 in 4 hours. Took home (2) 9" gills for lunch. Gills are staging. Bull males don't have their spawn colors yet. The male pumpkinseeds on the other hand were in full on spawn coloring. Didn't see any bass, didn't target them. No crappies to be found, just gills, pumpkinseeds, and perch.
  10. What can brown do for you? Bluegill that was swimming this morning and homemade potato chips.
  11. Gotcha OP, Humminbird has/had a switch for switching between 2d transducers. Not sure if they have one for imaging transducers.
  12. There are walleye guys running 2 SI transducers at once connected with a Y cable. When a SI transducer is mounted to the transom of an aluminum boat they are mounted on either side of the motor as opposed to the step like you would find on a bass boat. When the transducer is mounted to the step, you get an unobstructed view from both the left and right. When the transducer is mounted to either side of the motor on an aluminum boat, the lower unit blocks the returns on one side unless you're trimmed up high enough.
  13. I'd be worried the line would snap
  14. Very nice knife.
  15. You sound like me. I move heat, or at least I used to before I got hurt.
  16. What don't you like about the Tuffy? 12??? They offer financing for 15-20 years on boats and RV's $300 a month is cheap for 240 months....
  17. I guess I sell stuff to people that need stuff.
  18. My magic doesn't come naturally. I'm a work in progress.
  19. As little as possible....
  20. Yes, the set up is possible and no, you won't fry the transducer.
  21. Hard to see underwater debris during the day or night. I've spent some time fishing/running at night. Learn to rely on your night vision. Light from your graphs or spotlights will kill your night vision. Shut everything but your NAV lights off.
  22. That looks like a lot of work
  23. My opinion is are you fishing or trying to look at pretty pictures. In the pic posted above, you can tell there is cover(car) in both pics. The more practice you get reading the imaging, no matter which transducer, the better you will be. Pay attention to the shadows in the imaging. Shadows tell a lot.
