  1. I wouldn't buy off brand because you may never be able to get parts for them
  2. Dual Pro or Minn Kota. I'm pretty sure the BPS chargers are rebranded Pro Mariners
  3. Rodgers wants out. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31359453/aaron-rodgers-want-return-green-bay-packers-sources-say
  4. This^^^^^ Humminbird part#407079 If Humminbird won't give you one, I have one I can send you
  5. A lot can change in a year or two... By the time I'm ready to buy there will be more new technology. I fished with dad yesterday. When I get out on my own, I'll have more time to screw around with the Garmin and figure out my likes and dislikes. The touch screens are a huge plus. I know Birds offer that as well. If Garmin comes out with something like the Link, and maybe they already have, I would consider it.
  6. I'm still liking the Robalo.
  7. I ordered the Endura Max 55lb thrust today and will be selling the TM that came with the boat. I got spoiled with the Terrova and I like the variable speed much better.
  8. Grow your hair like the model and that should hold all your Superflukes and then some.
  9. I didn't spend much time because I was on a lake I've fished for 30 years with 20ft of visibility. As far as the casting ring option, I probably didn't utilize it as much as I should have. I tend to be a bank beater and a weedline fisher. Most of the lakes around here are soup bowl lakes with little or no offshore structure.
  10. Can't believe no one has mentioned this
  11. I didn't play with it too much. I had it mounted to the back seat and as soon as I got home I moved it to the next seat forward. It was not practical where I had it. I absolutely love the touch screen. Boat doesn't leak. It was quite windy and cold and a 300lb boat reacts to the wind quite differently than a 3000lb boat. Think I'm going to sell the 40lb 5 speed trolling motor and get a 55lb Endura Max variable speed motor. Ended up with 3 fish in 4 hours
  12. It's a 14 footer and I bought 2. Figure I can put them thru the hand holds on the transom. I'm taking the boat out for her maiden voyage tomorrow. Don't know if I'll use them tomorrow. I'm more interested in finding out if the boat floats.
  13. I picked up the UHD73sv a month ago for $450. at Cabelas. My first Garmin, was a 'Bird guy in the past. I'll be using it for the first time tomorrow
  14. Unless you have dogs. Did this when I still had dogs and they decided the sod was a toy. They dragged the sod all over the yard and tore it up.
  15. Green tree stakes are impossible to find. I watched multiple DIY youtube videos that used the tree stakes. I ended up buying a kit from Max Gain Systems that came in 3 pieces. The pole, the spike, and the T handle. Per their instructions I used JB Weld and #6-32 machine screws for assembly. Seems solid. Shipping an 8' box cost almost as much as the kit.
  16. Updates are done.
  17. There's another setting for true north or magnetic north. Does this setting mean much
  18. My gym locker smells like the inside of a kayak. Does that count?
  19. I hope they have green. Green was the easiest on my eyes with my birds.
  20. Says the guy who's still motoring around with the WAAS turned off....? Turned it on today and going to pick up a micro SD after work tomorrow.
  21. Serious question here. Why all the armament? Had a conversation with one of my customers today about exactly this. We were discussing ammo...or lack there of. My answer to him was, "If the ammo I have isn't enough, then I'm in way over my head" I carry daily. During last years "peaceful protests" I carried a spare magazine for my M&P Shield. I've never thought I needed more than one pistol to protect myself and my family. My LCP is a summertime pistol when I wear shorts, not a backup pistol. With today's unrest, I'm thinking of switching my EDC pistol from Shield to an XD. The single stack Shield is more comfortable to conceal than a double stack XD but the 5 additional rounds might be worth it.
  22. This is my thought
  23. What tires are you getting? I had GY Marathons on the Shoreland'r and replaced them with GY Endurance. I felt the Endurance were far superior to the Marathons. Might have been as simple as the increased load rating. I saw zero sidewall bulge with the Endurance while rolling down the highway. Was very happy with their performance.
