Maybe they go back to the homeland. Resident smallies on my home water are predictable. There are not a lot of them, but they congregate in the same areas. If I can find the summer walleyes, the smallies will be near and vice versa. On Lake Michigan the bass move with the forage and water temps during the summer. Unfortunately, at this point in my life, I don't have the time to figure them out. Nor do I have the patience to fish for suspended fish in 40 or 50ft of water during the summer months. Maybe someday.

I assume your fish are resident fish and not migratory?

Whats the main forage? Shad? Smelt? I can't imagine there are gobies in your waters.

I think you need a bigger dock. Maybe a 8x20 platform. You can set up chairs for all 3 of you to relax, fish, and enjoy your new digs. It would be an easy touch and go for either boat if you have to run home to grab more beer.

Can't go wrong with a Lund. As far as selling your boat, do you need the money for the down payment? I had the dealer I bought my Lund from sell my old boat on consignment for zero commission rather than trade it in. Had I traded it in, I probably would have only got half of what I sold it for.

I sucked something into the intakes and lost water pressure. Flushed the motor when I got home. I'm pretty sure I dislodged whatever it was. I just hope I didn't damage the impeller. I put the muffs on but couldn't get a strong stream out of the peehole.

I guess my version of medium is different, maybe closer to medium well. I would normally say a pink center is medium rare and a reddish center is rare. Regardless, the steak was awesome.

Another first time. Set the grill for 325* and used the smoke tube. Currently using Pit Boss Hickory pellets. 2" thick NY Strip bought at the grocery store for $6.99 a pound on sale. Chicago Steak seasoning and sea salt for seasoning. Baked in the Camp Chef for 45 minutes did not turn. 4 minutes each side in the sear box. Let it rest for 5 minutes covered in foil. Cooked to a perfect medium. Tender, juicy, and just enough wood flavor.

Fishing for tuna is not fishing for freshwater fish. Without knowing the depth/contours/structure/cover of where that bait is being dropped, you might as well be fishing blind. As a child, I always thought having a remote controlled boat to run the line out would be awesome. In reality, having a remote controlled boat to drag a bait around would be a better deal...until it gets hung up.

A boat off the showroom will come in less than if you ordered one. I purchased a new showroom boat in 2013 and was around 17% below the online boat builder. High volume dealers can buy boats from the manufacturers for less than low volume dealers. I worked 3 dealers in a 100 mile radius to get the best pricing. Negotiating isn't always about money. Can they cut a deal on winterizing or on service? I negotiated a brokerage sale on my old boat for a flat fee rather than a percentage.
