Beat up and cosmetic imperfections are 2 different things in my mind. It doesn't look as if there are deep gouges or anything that could compromise the boats seaworthiness. Maybe I am different than most as I feel a boat is a merely a tool to hunt and catch fish.

If the scratches are cosmetic you can put a wrap on the boat for a grand or so. Im looking at the pics on my phone and best i can tell, it appears that the scratches on the bottom are from beaching the boat and scratches on the side are dock rash.

Look into Vortex hubs if you want to push grease thru the system. A bearing buddy greased properly merely keeps good grease on the bearings. The Vortex hubs have a zerk fitting to add grease and a bleed fitting to expel old grease while you're pushing grease thru the system. Second, the bearing buddy's do not have threads. They do not screw on, they are installed with a mallet. They have gripping ridges which wear out with repeated removal and installation.

You still need to do a repack every few years. The bearing buddies can only be removed and reinstalled once or twice. After that, the gripping grooves wear out and you'll throw the bearing buddy off when in tow.

Let me tell you a secret. Boats have been made out of wood since about 8000BC. Tracker no longer uses wood and closed cell foam can become waterlogged if given the chance.
