Are you losing fish? You need to keep replacing the water like Insanity suggested to keep the ammonia levels down. There are some manufacturers running lines around the cooler using the ice to cool the water. You need to make sure you don't lower the water temp more than 10* to prevent shock. I think having raised oxygen levels is more important. There's something called a VT2 which forces fresh air into the water and bad air out of the water when you're on plane. I've heard good things about it. I run my pumps on auto all day long and throw some catch and release in when I get back to the dock. If I have to wait awhile, I'll add some hydrogen peroxide to the well. Glenn, 2 problems I see with your theory. Cost and durability. I could add a second starting battery and keep the pumps running on constant all day and achieve the same results. My Lund has 2 ways to fill the livewells. I can use the pump and/or a separate gravity fed fresh water pickup which also injects fresh air into the water. The gravity fed pickup fills the well while running from spot to spot.

Back to the OP. Boat looks clean from the pic. Have the motor checked out, crawl around in the compartments to see if there is any signs of standing water. Make sure the transom is strong and all the accessories work. Check the wheel bearings and tires as well. I would use NADA as a guide but it's not set in stone. If all checks out, Start at $3k and see how low you can get it for.

You still have to look at it as a 16yo boat. A rebuilt motor adds zero value and a new motor adds little value. Your SI/DI technology will add about 50% of their value to the boat meaning, an 1198, which currently retails at $1800, might add $900 of value. A shallow water anchor, no matter what the brand, will add $1k of value to the boat. The upgraded electronics and anchor are also something the seller can remove from the boat and sell them separately. He wouldn't get squat for an old trolling motor or used batteries. Like flyfisher said, it adds to the attractiveness which might result in a quicker sale, just not to the value. Then again if the buyer believes he is getting a good deal, who am I to argue.

The HD is much easier to see in the sunlight. The 998 HD's are under $1200. I've got the non HD 998 on the console. Imaging can be difficult to see in the bright sunlight. All the other screens are not affected by the sun.

That is a good question but also relative. Out of the 9 lakes I listed, 3 of them stand out, but I have put plenty of time on only 2 of those bodies of water, KY Lake and Lake Michigan. Most of the other trips were 1/2-1 week long trips with zero experience on that particular body of water. I have found KY Lake and Guntersville easy to fish, meaning easy to find fish with minimal work. Some fish of quality and some being average. Table Rock, LOZ, and Bull Shoals were more difficult for me. Toho was a dud in Feburary under coldfront conditions. I've been fishing Lake Michigan for close to 40 years and it's still a work in progress. I'm still trying to break the 6lb mark for a smallie.

This I agree with although we have hard water here and I'm not a hard water fisherman. Panfish taste best immediately pre and post ice when the water is cold. The meat is also firm in consistency compared to fish caught in 80* water.

Any Merc dealer can do warranty work. Sam, I've found a much easier way to acquire extra keys. I drop the boat off at the shop without keys and the mechanics always leave their spares in the ignition.
