The easiest install goes to the Talon. Once mounted, it's just a matter of connecting it to the battery. The PP has pumps which need to be installed which require taking up more storage space. The Talon is bulkier and recommends flushing the unit out after each usage. For me, it takes more time dragging out the hose than actually flushing the unit. Talon has built in wave compensation, which is an option on the PP. The PP IMO is more visually appealing. If you keep the boat in the garage, you can lower the PP to back in. The Talon requires installing a tilt bracket. The PP has a constant drain on the battery because it's always in standby mode. You would need to connect a toggle switch to shut the power off completely. The Talon only drains the battery in deployed mode. I have a Talon. I purchased one to try before I got a second one. Not going to get a second one. 1 holds the boat fine, and gives me the option to use in conjunction with the TM as a pivot point, which makes my dock fishing more precise. I can pull up to a dock, deploy the unit, hit every dock piling and skip under the docks with the ability to pivot the bow, raise the unit and hit the opposite side. I have fished perpendicular to the wind blowing 25mph using the Talon and TM together. Which ever one you choose, it's going to change the way you fish.

Similar to the salmon run up here. Guys lined up almost shoulder to shoulder casting directly in front of themselves. Years ago it used to be a more pleasant experience. Somebody hooks into a king and yells "fish on!" Everyone reels in their lines so as no to get tangled. It doesn't work like that anymore. Nowadays people will cast into your space and when your fish tangles their lines, they are upset.

My son enjoyed drafting and CAD. He went to UW Mlwaukee for their architecture program freshman year and decided he no longer wanted to do it. I think he is regretting not at least majoring in some type of CAD design. Such is life. He's a business major now. He has a goal for the future but no plan on how to achieve it. If I could do it again, you'd be watching me on Deadliest Catch. Being a pipefitter isn't all sugarplums and gumdrops like Raider is implying. When sparky cant read a schematic and English is his second language I normally have to clean up one helluva mess. My advice to you. Once you decide the route you want to pursue, learn all you can but try and specialize in one aspect of it. There's more money to be made if you're not another sheep in the herd.

My boat is ready to hit the water before I put it away. After every trip it gets refueled and put the chemicals in the tank. Oil level is topped off and batteries are charged. The trailer gets a once over and it goes to storage.

I just go. Fish gotta eat and I gotta fish. If it's for a tourney, I spend 1-2 weeks planning which most of the time is done on the water. I discuss strategies the morning of with my son(partner) and hit the water running.

Soft plastics I use all the time are separated by brand/type in gallon Ziploc bags. Stuff I use occasionally is in Plano boxes. I inventory once a year before Black Friday sales and order accordingly for the following year.

I'm a cheap azz when it comes to groceries. Off brand dry goods and I shop at wally world for everything except meat. I eat a lot of chicken and pork and get the bulk packages. I buy steak when it's on sale and buy a lot to throw in the freezer. I don't *** you with the kids things. They were expensive 20 years ago when my son was a baby. I can't imagine how much it costs now.

We have been fishing from 5-11am. Swimjigs, cranks, spinnerbaits, and wacky rigs. The higher the sun gets you need to find shade. We are finding dock fish and pad fish although the pad fish seem to be smaller.
