Are you frickin kidding me! $80 for a net!
  5. Birds have been busy here too. Took a drive to some of the lakes I fish this morning. The lake where my boat mechanic is, is still under 12" of ice and had probably 2 dozen shantys on it. My home lake(s) which is part of a river system is open only in the areas with current. The ramp I launch at still has the snow they plowed covering it, but the water is open. Going to bring a shovel out there and clear it off. It's only about 2 ft. I got to get the motor broke in. First club tourney in 4 weeks. First open tourney in 2 weeks. I'm thinking it may get cancelled. Lake Michigan is open. I know a couple salmon guys who went out today.
  6. Yes OP, I could help you on a tin boat but not on yours. Sorry. WayneP should be around soon
  7. I'll name him George
  8. Eagle Claw bobber stops. Just bought some for punch rigs and I'm impressed
  9. Whichever one has the features you want. I've never run a Garmin.HB's customer service is great. I ran a basic Lowrance for years without issue
  10. Took awhile, but Mike was able to locate a discontined part for my sons Quantum. All the reels came back running smooth as silk.
  11. PB Ky Lake $500 big bass 4.91 Northern IL prefishing . Couldn't find her on tourney day. Didn't weigh her but the bump board is 22"

  16. I put them indidualy in a 3700 box with a plastic wire tie wrapped around the arms. Use a side cutter, which you should have for cutting hooks, to cut the wire tie. I'll cut portions of the permanent dividers out for a custom fit. I believe I saw tubes at Cabelas designed to slide the a-rig into.
  17. The reel will out last you. I fished round Abu's for 35 years and just switched over to low profiles maybe 4 or 5 years ago. You can use them to fish any bait 3/8 oz or heavier with ease. Anything lighter and you may experience problems with backlashes. Just takes practice.

  19. Reviews forum? I'd be inclined to contribute something that's not very worthwhile...Oh wait...I already do that
  20. MK's composite shaft has a lifetime guarantee
  21. The rig is legal on all IL waters public and private UNLESS the 2 pole 2 hooks per pole restriction is in place. This restriction is implemented on 90% of our water. I bought a couple rigs for use on my waters last year. 3 arms with 3 willowleaf blades with 2 arms accepting hooks. Haven't caught squat yet.
  22. Throw 2 a-rigs on it and see if you can catch 2 bag limits on one cast
  23. I don't believe it's a factor while your fishing, prop isn't spinning fast enough. If you put it on high to run across a bay it might. I've been running a powerdrive iPilot. The remote control has speeds in increments of .5, from 0-10. .5 can be too fast when finesse fishing, if the water is like glass.
