What Did You Buy Today!?
Today I bought a gen 3 Revo STX and a Fenwick HMG 7'0 rod along with a handful of Plano boxes. Yesterday I got a small package from TW with terminal tackle, mop jigs, chatterbaits, and zipperworms. Bought a 7'6" HMG flipping stick and Ardent F500 a couple weeks ago along with a Fenwick spinning rod(the name escapes me right now). Spent today organizing my last 3 TW orders in those Plano boxes. Still have a couple more things to get for the boat yet.

You need all that line for 4 reels?

Ardent Reels
I've got 2 F500 flipping reels, both on 7'6 flipping sticks. Have never tried their casting reels. One I've been using for years without issue and the other I just bought a couple weeks ago because it was on sale for $80. I'm a Revo guy as far as casting reels.

Right Track For Braid?
The heavier the cover, the heavier the braid. I don't have experience with tuff braid. Braids that are round in diameter have less tendency to cut into itself than a flat braid. My preference is Diawa Samuari in 55lb for my jig rod and frog rod

Buying Wholesale Fishing Lures To Resell Online
I sent the manufacturers a formal letter with a copy of the business license and a tax id. attn marketing/sales. I recommend not sending an email.I also included a link to my website. If they know you are serious, and not looking for deals, most will send you a pricing sheet with minimum order requirements or contact info for a distributor. At least you'll get an idea of the basic discount. I don't believe anyone will give you such info if you are just thinking about it.

Buying Wholesale Fishing Lures To Resell Online
Many moons ago I had a small webbased tackle business. I'm much better as a refrigeration mechanic. You'll need at the very least a tax id# The profit margins are not high and it will be difficult to compete with the larger internet retailers. You don't have a name in the tackle business and can't get the volume discounts they can.

Soft Plastic Jerk Baits
I used to throw the Houdinishad in bluegill color. My son and I nicknamed it the "magic" bait. A high numbers bait. They no longer make that color and I rarely fish soft jerkbaits anymore. I would pick a t-rigged senko first.

Fish Becoming Conditioned
If I found a pin in my Whopper, I'm going to be a rich man. For the sake of argument, anyone been on a hot crappie bite using live bait only to have it slow down and then pick up again. The fish are still there, they;ve just changed their feeding habit. What of the possibility of disturbing the school is causing the slowed bite? Same with a school of bass. You pull a couple out of the school and the others become weary. Or catch and release a few and they go back and tell their buddies.....

Don't Sell Out
Let me run this by you guys. How do you feel about Ranger bucks, or Skeeter bucks, or Legend bucks, or Toyota bucks which are givin out at club tourneys sponsored by the boat/truck mfgs. My club has Legend Boats as a sponsor. Legend is pushing real hard for new boat sales.thru their Advantage program. It cost the angler $200 fee. A 1st place win in a angler field the size I fish regularly, Legend will pay $10,000 per single win on top of the tourney winnings providing the boat is a 2013 year model, Legend is written across the jersey and a Legend decal across the rear window of the tow vehicle. Would you consider that selling out? My take and my sons take differ which is part of the reason I didn't take him boat shopping with me. As some of you may know, I bought a new boat a couple weeks ago. Legend was one of the boats I considered. Not because of the incentive program, but beacuse they have a good reputation for big water handling. My son was sold on the incentive program and the boat styling(they are absolutely beautiful boats if you've never looked). Do you view getting into these incentive programs as a form of selling out? There is a chance of monetary gain but no guarantee. My club also has bonus bucks for a jersey mfg and a sunglasses mfg. Knowing my luck I'll take a first place this season and be out 10k LOL

Fish Becoming Conditioned
It's difficult to get a pet who is raised on tablescraps to eat dry food. A bass on the otherhand is seeing a bluegill or a crawfish. This is what it eats. We are throwing baits that appear exactly as what it eats, or at least something which triggers a survival instinct. FWIW I love dogs and hate cats.

Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
Fox Lake Fishing has 2 tourneys a year. I have never fished them. They are points based for each species and family friendly. In addition to the info I sent you, there is 2 divisions of Anglers Dream which holds tourneys on the chain and the river. Entry fees are less, #of boats is less and payouts are less.

Don't Sell Out
I'm convinced.I've decided to donate my clothing to the poor. When you see a bunch of kids on tv wearing *** shirts begging for 30 cents a day, just know there's a naked fat guy, with a big heart, who can't go out in public anymore.

Fish Becoming Conditioned
Lures tend to try and immitate bait. Shad, bluegill, tilapia, crawfish or whatever, How can a fish become conditioned from eating what it believes to be a natural food source? I believe a bass will not starve itself unlike a cat or a dog which is dumb enough to be picky and dumb enough to starve if it doesn't get its chioce of food. In defense of the dog, a domestic pet can get lost and it's natural instincts will kick in as a means for survival.
