What's a decent price? Rivited jons are usually lighter and less expensive than welded jons. There are a ton of different mfgs and a ton of different layouts. Jons are normally sold new without a trailer.They all have different HP ratings and weight ratings. The minimum boat that is 48" wide is 14' long, welded, and might be a bear to load in a truck bed. G3, Lowes, Lund, Tracker, Sea Ark, Alumacraft, Xpress, just to name a few.

Problem is some people are happy with the small trophy. That thought process will hold one back for the rest of their lives. The lack of a trophy may teach humility, With any luck the kids would learn from it.

Child development experts, at least when I took the course(s), said, if I recall, that the critical learning first 10 years of life, will affect their intellictual and emotional development for the rest of their lives. Kids need to know there are winners and losers in every aspect of life. We are not all the same. We are not all equal. This equality crap has been going on for a long time. My son played football with the park district from about 5th grade til high school. Because he was bigger than all the other kids, he was allowed only to be an offensive lineman, because his size was an unfair advantage. When my ol' ladies son played baseball, first year wasT Ball and then next year coaches pitch, and following year everybody pitches because it's fair(and we all know the coaches son is always the pitcher after that LOL) The ol' ladies daughter quit soccer because they didn't keep score. If there were no winners then why bother? Go out there and kickass and take names. Teach your boy the same.
