  1. Yep. Toilet bowl cleaner. If the scum and algae is real bad you can buy a product called Slimeygrimey (sp)
  2. "Yeah! And you call youself a fisherman"- boat monkey
  3. Before using abrasives on the gelcoat I would first start by using toilet bowl cleaner. It should take off most of the scum and watermarks. Use a sponge and wear rubber gloves. Do it in sections rinsing off periodicaly. You can then apply a coat of wax and use BBS each time on the water.
  4. Just went thru all the financing options. I thought 7 was alot. I guess if you figure someone has a house note and a car note, 180 might be the way to go.
  5. Why even mull around the idea then? I can sell you my old deep v. LOL
  6. Why are you struggling? I was boat shopping for 3 years before I finaly pulled the trigger. The most difficult issue I had was figuring out my priorities in a boat. All the boats I've ever owned have not been "perfect", and as I have evolved as a fisherman, my priorities have changed. A Z118 was in the mix of choices for awhile. What do I want from a boat? I opted for the Lund for 2 reasons. First was the big water capability, and second, this could very well be my last boat. Once I was firm on my priorities, the Z118 was no longer a fit. A nice boat nonetheless.
  7. The tree hugger and the tree A woman from Los Angeles who was a tree hugger, a liberal Democrat, and an anti-hunter, purchased a piece of timberland in Washington. There was a large tree on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her. In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch. In considerable pain, she hurried to a local emergency room to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a Democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters. The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her. She sat and waited three hours before the doctor reappeared. The angry woman demanded, “What took you so long?” He smiled and then told her, “Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a “recreational area” so close to a waste treatment facility. I’m sorry, but due to Obama Care they turned you down.”
  8. Should I get rid of all my old Rogues, since they can't catch todays fish?
  9. I checked multiple mfgs. Maximum weight capacity for their 10ft jons ranges between 275-365lbs. That's people, gear, motors, etc. Also all the mfgs list 3hp as the max rated for the boats.
  10. You might want to see a doctor about that. I do #2 once sometimes twice a day. Coffee normally triggers it.
  11. At least you have a friend. I'm the only pipefitter here.
  12. Look at that. You found a friend
  13. Looks like something you'd see on a strippers navel

  15. My advice to you is to not do business with Bank of America. They will nickel and dime you for everything and are difficult to deal with. I had closed my bank accounts and credit cards with them years ago.
  16. Another food thread that will end in the discussion of scrapple. Mods, Anymore thought to a food forum since the last time I suggested it?
  17. RIP Jim Tstinic http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dailyherald/obituary.aspx?n=james-m-tstinic&pid=163299310&fhid=7842#fbLoggedOut Jim, suffered from diabetes and fished vicariously thru his customers. He always gave a good minnow count and we will miss him.
  18. I cleaned out the old boat today and will be dropping it off on Monday along with a graph for the bow on the new rig. It's supposed to snow Tues-Fri so maybe Saturday will be the big day.
  19. My son has turned into a maniac. He is very competitive. Now 23yo, he emailed me a spread sheet with all the local clubs and a schedule of what tourneys we should fish. LOL.
