Pulling Boat Long Distances With Suv
Not sure what the terrain will be like on your trip but I used to have a V6 Dodge that struggled going uphill thru the mountains when traveling south. If the truck is rated fow towing, and is mechanicaly fine, you should be without too much issue.

Bps Catalogue
You guys fail to remember BPS caters to fishermen who, believe it or not, fish for other species than bass. They cater to people who have boats other than bass boats. They have a family friendly atmosphere. They have hunting and fishing seminars. Sometimes you can get good deals on guns. I am fortunate to have 2 BPS and 1 Cabelas near the house. I purchase all my rods from the big box stores. I like to feel them before I buy them and don't want to worry about being broken during shipping. Their boating "stuff" is less expensive than any other boat dealer in my area since West Marine has closed many of their stores. Great for last minute or in a pinch shopping. All that being said, I throw out their 1/2 dozen catalogs I receive along with all the flyers. I've done my research online and don't need a catalog to sway my decision. As far as the topic of copying lures. It's going to happen. If I find something I like I'm pretty brand loyal. If I find a product that works, Who cares who made it? I read an interesting article on another site about the All American Trash Fish.. A struggling company gave some baits to I believe Skeet Reese(don't quote me) He took a liking to the bait and one of of his sponsors made a knock off. The manufacturer cut a deal with the guy and may have made him wealthy.

All Guys Like Power Tools Right ?
Chris, I make my living usig tools. Do what I do. New project=new tool. I justify the expense the same way I justify fishing stuff, because I want it. I pulled an old closet organizer out of my mom's house and installed it in my garage for all the tools I don't keep in my van. I just recently bought another toolbox since I've been off work to try and organize my garage. I'm trying to make room for a jon boat, which seems to be a never ending project.

Electricians Help
In adddition to what was said. Garbage disposal has a reset button it for motor protection. It's possible the motor seized or shorted and tripped the circuit breaker. Everything could be on the same circuit

Phrases - Where Did It Come From?
No sir. You are incorrect. Not having a pot to pi$$ in is bad, but if you don't have a window to throw it out, you are the lowest of the low. Hence the saying "you don't have a pot to pi$$ in or a window to throw it out of" -Grandma had some other doozies, none of which are appropriate for a public forum. Here's my pot

Autopilot Trolling Motor??
I've got a Powerdrive V2 ipilot with the universal sonar. I can operate the remote control by feel. I don't need to look at it to know what I'm doing. The response is slower than that of cable steer but if you get used to it it shouldn't be a problem. The MK shaft is indestructable, so if you hit something because you're slow on the draw, damage should be minimal at most.

How Much Is A Pound Of Trolling Motor Thrust Worth?
I have a 17ft tin deep v with a MK 70lb trolling motor. When the water is calm the lowest setting can be too fast. If conditions warrant, 5 is about the highest setting for me to fish. Otherwise it's just too darn windy. Similar to Rhino I'll bump it up to 10 to get around another boat that is fishing the same shoreline. Remember a tin boat is affected by the wind more often and quicker than a glass boat because they sit higher out of the water. In answer to your original question "How much is it worth?" My answer is "How much you got?"

Dumb Question
Yes. Like a model car or plane. Take them apart

Your Strategy For Getting Skunked
It's that "new boat smell" that is turning them off. .Are you seeing fish on the locator? or are you just fishing spots you normally catch fish in? Could be no fish

I just saw a commercial for Duck Dynasty where a goat or sheep was processing something in the back of the mini van. Is that what you're refering to?

Strikes During The Fall (Of The Lure)
The strikes that take me longest to detect are when the bass grabs the bait on the fall and swims towards the boat. There is an akward pause in my brains communication with my hookset. Solution...If it doesn't seem right, reel in the slack and set the hook. Otherwise, was others have said, watch your line and feel your line. WRB Do you really believe this to be true? I think alot has to do with brand of jig. Some jigs have a higher hookup % than others. With the right rod line and jig, there is NO reason one cannot detect a jig bite no matter how light it is.
-
Lure X
Pay attention to my surroundings and conditions. When I'm casting an area, I am looking and listening for any signs of fish. Bait surfacing, fish surfacing 20 yards down the bank, a weed or pad moving suspiciously, shoreline changes, water temp changes, current changes, what the bass spits up in the livewell, birds feeding, vegetation changes, clarity changes, If a bass is puking up brown crawfish I won't throw a silver crank, spitting up shad I won't throw a blacknbue jig and so on. A swimjig will mimic almost anything and by changing colors or trailers or retrieve you can cover almost all your bases.

I'm Out Of Touch
New Species Discovered They are referred to as “ **** slackass-erectus ” created by natural genetic downward evolution through constant spineless posturing, and spasmatic upper limb gestures, which new research has shown to cause shorter legs and an inability to ambulate other than in an awkward shuffling gait. The "drag-crotch" shape also seems to effect brain function. Expect no eye contact or intelligent verbal communication . Unfortunately most are highly fertile.
