  1. Wow, didn't know anybody else on here fished Red dirt's baits. I love their bluegill pattern. Did pretty well last year with that color on quad blade. I like booyahs, SK, doesn't matter too much to me. I've also tried the ko-man-chis. Havnt given them a fair try though, only caught a few bass and a muskie on them. I'm always scared to throw them. I bought 7 and lost 3 in on year. 1 from a pike and 2 other ones because I throw in to very snaggy areas. But otherwise they run great. Burn em real good and no rolling. Also started making my own this year.
  2. A senko or a ribbon tail worm, or just about any worm works on ponds for me. Also, the pond I've been fishing only has blue gills and bass. Lately been seeing a ton of little gills swimming around and so I tried a 3.5in yum money minnow, in blue gill of course. They were smashing it when it was warmer.
  3. Dang....that sucks. Was looking forward to meeting the Master of the Rage!
  4. I usually just ask if they are catching any. That can turn into a good half hour talk about fishing though. Whenever Im at the store I always want to ask people if they need any help but I feel like they might perceive me as being a know-it-all jerk. Especially at Dicks. None of the workers there seem to know anything about fishing. I need to get a job there so can help people, and get discounts on tackle.
  5. I've invited a few people and am always asking if somebody wants to go. Fishing by yourself is nice, but two people makes it a lot more fun. Fishing is surprisingly a good first date too. Sure beats a movie.
  6. NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. High humidity. I'll fish in it, but, good god is it miserable.
  8. I was snow drifting in a sub division on the way to my construction class. Went around one corner too fast and up on the curb I went. I was stuck so me and my buddie tried to push it out before the teacher came down the street. Not 30 seconds later, here comes Mr. Sablehaus..... "Hey, what happned?" "Oh, I was turning and there was some black ice..." "Just get it out and get to the site, alright DK?" DK stands for drift king from fast and the furious tokyo drift. That was my nickname for the rest of the year. and My mom's friend saw me buying some herbs.
  9. Find something like a wedge to pry open your door. I've used wooden wedges for door hanging and some plastic wedges i got from a neighbor. Then take a coat hanger or other long, thin stiff object (i used an old fishing pole) and press the power lock button. Unless you don't have power locks.... Also, keep a spare in your wallet.
  10. oh boy, getting me all excited!
  11. Flukes and rage craws. I use hollow body frogs but, have only caught a handful of fish on them.
  12. Im 19 and I do that. Also, my mom made me an Easter basket.
  13. So a grandpa and his grandson are out fishing. Grandpa pulls out a beer and begins to drink. Kid asks, "Can I have some of that grandpa?" Grandpa asks, "Can you touch your D to your a-hole?" K: "No..." G: "Then you cant have any" Grandpa pulls out a cigarette and begins to smoke. K: "Can I have some of that grandpa?" G: "Can you touch your D to your a-hole?" K: "No..." G: "Then you can't have any" Kid pulls out some cookies and starts to eat them. G: "Hey, where'd ya get those?" K: "Grandma made them for me!" G: "Can I have some?" K: "Can you touch your D to your a-hole?" G: "Why yes I can!" K: "Then go f--- yourself, these are my cookies!"
  14. I don't get into new things a whole lot, bought some flick shake worms and jigs (love it), and this year I bought an alabama (woops, i mean "umbrella") rig. I don't usually venture out too far with new technology. I like to stick with what I know, best though, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics. Although, this year I plan to get into jigs and cranking more.
  15. I love them as well, I also have two mojos that I bought this year, going to see how they fare against each other.
  16. I'll fish with ya them day WMD Man, 13 days left till I leave!
  17. I second the stealthy approach. At my favorite spot. The land slopes to the water pretty steeply. So before I get down right on the water, i toss my lure down into the water right in front of where I would be standing. Many times I just hopped down and saw the wakes of bass swimming off.
  18. You never disappoint Bassn Blvd.
  19. A 20 dollar crank bait gets bit off by a pike, Im gonna jumping in to chase him down. I hate losing lures. Makes my heart sink, and when Im snagged I try everything in my power to get it back. Maybe I'll spoil myself and buy some pointers. Those'll definitely get bit off by pike.
  20. LOOOL I love this!
  21. Agreed. Equipment plays a good part of sensitivity. But experienced and focused on feeling for a bite plays a bigger one.
