Bass And Panfish Swimming Together?
I can second what ww2farmer says. I get all excited to see the bass cruising and try to catch it, but to no avail. I have seen the bass/bluegill togetherness and tried what you said, the worms, spinners and cranks, nothin. The next day before I walked right up on that spot, I stopped about 10 yards away, threw a popper and caught a few. If I can see a bass I usually can't catch them. And If you can see them, you can bet they see you too.

Spinnerbait... Yea I Know
Nothing wrong with fishing a spinnerbait, crankbait, or a jig, with a spinning rod. I did it all the time when I was just starting out.

Custom Painting Reels?
Heres the procaster. The left side turned out nice but the right side was a little ehhh. Couldn't get the netting flat against the reel so it didn't turn out tooooo nice, but I'm proud of it for my first attempt! I also just painted a rod I bought for 2 bucks when they went on sale. Used some black krylon fusion which is what Mudhole sells for painting rods. Works very nicely. Bends with the rod and seems somewhat durable.

Spinnerbait Blades And Sizes
When I was saying bigger blades give off more vibration and smaller blades flash, I meant to say coloroado and willowleaf blade.

Rods And Reels
I'm not huge crankbait user but I dont think 20lb line will allow your cranks to run at their proper depths. I would opt for 10lb or 12lb.

Soccer And Its Fans
Never been a big soccer fan but watched an Arsenal vs Manchester United game on tv and loved it! I had a lot of friends that played and always watched games, played the fifa games a lot, and talked about the teams. My buddy wore a Tottenham Hotspurs necklace so I always said that was my favorite team haha.

When To Use Plastics, What Kinds, And What Time Of The Year??
Smalljaw covered just about everything. But if your going to be using a 7.5in texas rigged worm, all you'll need is are some 4/0 hooks. If I'm fishing 1-3ft of water, I usually use 1/16oz bullet weight, any deeper and I'll go with 1/8 or 1/4. Unless I am in some really nasty weeds or current. For Texas rig: 1. Start with your rod at the 2 o'clock 2. Move the rod up to about 12:30. Should be able to get in 1 mississippi while moving the rod up 3. Drop back down to 2 4. Wait about 5 seconds after the worm hits the bottom and then repeat. Texas rig is as simple as it gets for fishing plastics. Next to Senkos....which I highly reccommend buying if you are new to plastics. A little something Roadwarrior wrote on the subject of fishing a senko.

Spinnerbait Blades And Sizes
Go fast - small go slow - big Go deep - small go shallow - big Also, bigger blades give of more vibration but smaller blades will rotate faster and give off more flash. Tunning a spinnerbait is also something you might have to do with it right out of the package. I have a few Ko-Man-Chi spinnerbaits and those things do not roll over ever. Pricey, but very very nice.

Custom Painting Reels?
Ya, I can take the sides off of my procaster easily, its just that I want to paint the frame as well but do not feel taking the gears out because I tried it with an different cheapy one and couldn't put it back together. I think tomorrow I'll go buy some paint and try it on the procaster. Thinking purple and black.

Anybody Seen Snow Owls This Year?
Saw this fella after I got home from picking my brother up. Ran inside quickly and grabbed my moms camera and took a few pictures. I looked it up as well and last year, due to an abundance of lemmings (food source), there were more babies born. And now more are having to fly further south to find food.

Near Record Warmth Today
Ya it was really warm here in Michigan yesterday as well. 55 right now but wind makes more like 45ish. We haven't had a whole lot of ice this winter. Lake st clair maybe had a good 2 weeks worth of fishable ice this year.

New To Bass Fishing. Lots Of Questions
Ya bass will pick it up rather quickly, usually a quick tap. Guy used to post on here used the 3 tap system 1st tap - bass picking up the worm 2nd tap - bass dropping the worm 3rd tap - Me tapping you on the shoulder asking why you didn't set the hook As for the line, you never want slack line fishing worms or jigs. Keep it taught so you can feel the bite. I also use scent and think it helps bass hold on longer as well as helping attract fish. Specifically megastrike. Easy to apply and not terrible smelling either,

New To Bass Fishing. Lots Of Questions
Welcome to the forums! When Im fishing worms, I keep it simple. 1. Start with your rod at the 2 o'clock 2. Move the rod up to about 12:30. Should be able to get in 1 mississippi while moving the rod up 3. Drop back down to 2 4. Wait about 5 seconds after the worm hits the bottom and then repeat. A lot of times bass will hit the worm on the fall so when you put the rod back down, reel up a little of the slack line to feel the fish better. As for twitching, just means quick little movements with you rod to make the worm jolt a little bit. Watch for your line making any kind of jump or moving off. If you start to move the rod up and feel some extra weight, set the hook. Hooksets are free and soon you will learn the difference between a bass and some weeds. Try finding some weeds and fish the worm parallel to it right along the edge. And be patient. Fishing a worm is not something to rush. Ask away. We're all happy to help. Also read some of the articles we got here. Good luck!

Custom Painting Reels?
Just found this site: http://www.oscarbassbaits.com/reel-gallery.html Take a look at the reels they have done, they look pretty fresh. Only downside is you have to take apart the reel yourself and send in the pieces you want painted.
