Thanks guy's that's the answer I was looking for. I am wanting to save on battery power by crossing lake with a gas power motor. I was also wanting to use it for piece of mind on the river. Its scary going on the river with a trolling motor.

How well do you guy's think this will push 2 people weighing around 400 or less pounds in a 14 foot jon boat. I am wanting it to be as good or better than a 50 pound thrust trolling motor. Thanks for your help.

Reel is fine, rod and line is not. This lure is way to heavy for that set up.

I have 2 of them, they are ok at best. I do like the split handle and the way they look. For 90.00 I don't think they can be beat.

Did you get a tracking #. I think Pay pal will make you wait a month. Have you tried to contact your seller? You have to prove to pay Pal he is ignoring you and failed to ship or do his part to resolve your issue. It can take a while to get thing off ebay a week is nothing. what was his rating?

I bought 2 dt fat 1's yesterday at BPS. I tried to order them from 2 local tackle shops and they didn't even know what I was talking about. I even brought them a copy of the Rapala web site on them.

I have bought many, nearly new reels in great shape at my local pawn shops for cheap.

A friend of mine has 3 new ones and I have small hands, they feel real good in my hands.

I was at bass pro shops, and as I suspected the blue rubber stuff was comming off the sharp edges of the reel.

I guess I am referring to the fact that Shimano dealers are supposed to swap them in store. Supposed to is the magic word.

Cumara because of warranty. you can brake your Cumara 5 times and get a new one? You brake a Zillion you done..

Thanks for the help guy's. I have yet to get the balls to ask any home owners if they minded if I can fish their bank. The thing is my wife works for some rich people who pay hoa fees who do not fish or use the lake, nor do they live on the lake.They just gave me their name and # if any body asked who I was and why I was there. I do not want to push things. I was just wondering if anyone knew any more than I did. It sounds like I need to stay in the public areas.

I totally agree. To this point I have been fishing the banks until I get to what appears to be a property line.

I have fishing privileges in these ponds, the problem is the houses that have yards that go all the way to the water. As in any lake, but most of the time I am in a boat. These ponds-lakes have no boat access so I have to walk them. They do have big bass.

Here goes. I have access to private ponds-lakes in my area. Some parts of the ponds-lakes have houses, and other parts don't. ( I am fishing the bank ). Is it ok to walk the whole pond-lake or should I be weary and respect the fact that it may be private property all the way to the water. Thanks, for the help.

I would have loved to have it. It brings back old memories. I have been looking on Ebay for one. I guess I missed that one, though I don't think I would have paid anywhere that price. An original red Curado sold on ebay recently. It was NIB...it had been in someone's closet since '92. It went for $140....graphite frame and all!

I'm interested. I have a friend with a boat. I have a john boat with a trolling motor. I would like to know what it takes to join or just to talk to people who fish the local lakes. I mainly fish small lakes-ponds, due to time and it's hard to get my friend and me to get together sometimes. Is this something a family that likes to fish, do?

I can remember when they were red. I hope I am not mistaken, I do know I had a red Shimano reel, and I think it was a Curado.

I don't know why,but I have never cared what people are using. I have always bought Rapala crank baits. Zoom for plastics. Spinner baits vary on blades and colors, nothing else. What I have been doing works for me.

She-man-O is the shiznit and will always be the shiznit. ( I hope ) I have been fishing with Shimano for almost 16 years now, and have never had a problem with the 50 or so reels I have bought from them. I just love them. It could be a yuppie thing of fishing.
