  1. Mentioned before here...when visited a friend on Coosa....seemed the spinners i brought were alittle large...went to Wal-Fart and seen those dollar spinners...blades seemed to be right size i needed and they sure were...i easily caught more spots on that lure then ANY i had with me...they held up pretty good...even landed a 6lb.striper on one.
  2. a black buzzbait near the full the full moon with a chrome blade..the light from the moon reflects off the blade...def. prefer over black blade on these nites
  3. I shore fish and i 1st look if there are shad along the shoreline...if there are i'll start with a topwater..if none i go with a plastic
  4. Fish the baby during the day and larger one at nite for bigger target
  5. Not much for walking frogs...i hear using a loop knot helps somewhat.
  6. i always start reeling about a foot from hitting water so runs immediately on surface.i give twitches occasionally to look as if a small bunch of shad fleeing.
  7. Buzzbait early...then mainly craw baits..menace,lobster and ika's
  8. i have friends who have switched out the skirt from a 1/4oz. to a small minnow softbaits and caught some numbers of bass on it.
  9. Spooks work best for me with ripples and some chop on surface.
  10. As mentioned before...the skitter pop as the ''blurp'' your looking for
  11. Always loved the Lobster when going big...but love the Menace now in clear, smaller bodies of water....both are great
  12. I always fish them backwards.
  13. x2 works great clear water
  14. jitterbug black buzzbait w. black blade on moonless nites black buzzbait w. chrome blade on moon lite nites
  15. Yes...a shorter rod is best...i use a 6' m rod
  16. i do my best with rage tail menace rigged many ways my fav. lure is the zara spook jr. in clear color
  17. buzzbait my fav. on moonless nights-black blade with black skirt on 3/4 to full moon nights-chrome blade with black skirt..the moon reflects off the chrome
  18. Here in Socal...Fat Ikas, dropshotting robo's, and topwater just getting going with buzzbaits and spooks
  19. yes...the tentacles should be at the eye hook...looks like a crawdad...it has replaced the senko as #1 plastic around socal lakes..awesome bait!
  20. zell pop strike king buzzbait jitterbug-these three great starters zara spook spro frog-these two baits when you learn to walk the dog, which i have most of my success with
  21. I love the tri-wing also....to me there is no better buzzbait to use in clear water because it runs a little more subtle than most...tending not to scare off some bass that might be startled by louder buzzbaits
  22. 1st used the Lobster, then Lizard, and now the Menace...all three work better than any type plastic like them....right now Menace out performing the Fat Ika...which i thought would never happen...lol!
  23. Without a doubt...the Menace is go to bait in any small lake/quarry fishing trip i'm on...t-rigged or on a finesse jig
  24. There is tons of info out there for beginners.Start here..then the rest of the internet...welcome to bass fishing..i can't recommend it enough! http://www.bassresource.com/how-to-fish/
