  1. Nope, I tie my braid to the spool by threading the line through the holes, and have not experienced any friction, slippage or any thing else.. Of course, I'm not using PP...
  2. kind of a broad question, lets narrow it down some. What is it you want to do with the rig..i.e. plastic's, spinnerbaits, cranks ect..? It would make a difference in what would be recomended..
  3. Yup, he makes some nice baits..he may be a member here, not a 100% certain it's him..
  4. Might want to try the H20 swimbaits. they make a 4" and a 3" in bluegill, tilapia, prech and maybe more. Sometimes M & M fishing has them for sale in the flea market forum.

  7. O.K...I was talkin bout Big rocks, that weigh more than 50 lbs, and usually have edges so the crank itself gets stuck.. > Right you are Lee, no stop and go, unless it's a shallow runing crank
  8. Wow, that 1 fish has that hook all the way through it's skin..might wanna lighten up on the hook sets.. Otherwise..way to go..some nice fish.

  13. Does buying a curado on ebay affect getting warranty work done if necessary..?
  14. Wait a min..how could 30lb braid help, if your crank bait is wedged in between 2 rocks..? In my mind it would mean cutting that much more line off..?
  15. Yeah..don't fish them so low in the water column.. I also fish from shore Alot..I seldom throw cranks, but I do like suspended jerkbaits that run shallow 1 to 3' cuz the lakes are usually about 4 to 7' deep For lipless cranks, hold the rod tip higher, and or speed up the retrieve. Same with spinnerbaits ect..
  16. Believe me, I've tried that..nada.. :-[
  17. Here's more on the subject, in case you haven't read it yet.. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1270678875
  18. I have tied directly to my braid, but there were no rocks to contend with.. I especially like the all braid when fishing jigs..you feel Everything. I have even used braid in Clear water, with some moderate success.
  19. Yep, if you get the ultrasoft, more managable that the plain hybrid imho.
  20. I looked at the Seaguar chart, look like the Abrasx is the way to go in my case..Thanks for postin that up Islandbass.

I know it's been said a few times, but fish your jig's Slow, with an occasional hop, and a twitch here and there. Jig's are not about numbers usually, but quality..
  23. I wouldn't go out of my way to sight fish. Usually the fish around here are either real spooky, or just ignor what you toss in front of them. So ..no, I don't enjoy sight fishing.
