Random Thoughts While Shaving #2
I would not ever hold anything back but I fish to catch fish, period. I don't have a mind set of size. I would much rather catch a small dinky fish instead of trying to catch a big one all day and coming up empty handed. As far as the 5 keepers and then kicker mentality you have to remember that those guys get paid by fish weighed in on the scale. I've seen plenty of people get paid by having small fish at weigh in, but have yet to see anyone get paid for not catching anything.

Bubba Did It.
The second shot on the second playoff hole he hit was nothing short of miraculous. He is a very deserving champion and I hope this propels him to greater achievements in his career.

Kinami Baits/yamamoto Baits, What's Up?
According to bass pro prices you can get the kinami baits for $.71 per worm and the Yamamoto baits for $.82 per worm. So if all else being the same why would you pay more bottom line for a Yamamoto bait?

What Will You Pay For Gear? Why?
I don't fish enough or in enough tournaments to justify the cost associated with the high end equipment. I also don't believe it's necessary to be a good fisherman. I do believe that the higher end stuff is priced that way for a reason. The advantages may be slight or great, but the manufacturing may take twice as much to get it that way, therefore the cost would be increased. If that's what helps anyone enjoy the sport more then thats great, it's all about enjoying yourself. Although 1 thing I would like to point out is that those that truly depend on equipment for a living don't necessarily use the best high end equipment. How many of us have seen a $99 veritas rod in the hands of Iconelli and how much has KVD won with his $140 cranking rod or for that matter EE 's pro qualifiers.

Confused About Cranking
I agree its gonna be different day in and day out. I usually start off by throwing shallow to deep and if nothin happens then switch it up. Also finding a point and run it length wise in about 10' so the bait digs is usually a good way to get em going .

Random Thoughts While Shaving
Although i see your point, i must disagree in some respect if i understand what you are saying correctly. I think you are trying to say it is more important to know what a bite before buying the expensive equipment, which i completely agree with. However the equipment is not to blame. Its doing what it is supposed to do . It is transmitting the vibration more than what the lesser equipment would.Hence the higher cost would be justified by the superior product to an avid angler. P.S If this deep of stuff is what you think about when shaving i'd hate to hear about what goes through your head while sittin on the throne

Daiwa T Trigger Rod
Go with the carbonlite micro. You'll get more bang for your buck. From what i can see The Daiwa T is nothing more than a re designed Tierra rod, which i have 3 of. I would gladly trade them all for carbonlites if i hadn't made split grips out of them. Daiwa does make some good stuff, but so does BPS, Shimano, Quantum, Pflueger ..etc.etc......Its all about confidence and personal preference.

Chatterbait?
Justin Rackley is a former Texas A&M collegate bass angler. He is currently part of the Lake Fork Pro Staff and guide on Lake Fork in texas. He also is part of the Big Bass Battle show with Tom Redington, Gary Dobyns (sometimes) and the Army Bass anglers. He seems to know his stuff. Having said all that i agree that is one pimpin jacket Thanks for the vid!!

Veritas Winch
You are probably gonna get different opinions. Generally a composite rod such as the KVD series is thought of as having a better action. Its composite construction loads up slower than graphite allowing the fish to get the bait a little better. IMO it doesn't matter as much the material for construction of a rod (fiberglass or graphite) but the action of the rod. Personally i like a medium power moderate action rod and the one i currently use is graphite. The moderate action is gonna be a little slower than normal graphite rods and having more of the type of action of fiberglass. Having said all that i have caught fish on regular graphite rods so its mostly in personal preference.

Abu Garcia Veritas Vs. Daiwa Jupiter
Veritas no doubt. The Jupiter is more comparable to te vendetta from Abu. Even then I'd give the edge to vendetta, plus it looks great paired with the black max
