I voted yes. I somewhat feel that it takes a little more effort to catch the fish using artificial even after you have found where they are at.

That's pretty cool. Like many said, I've caught a few that had been beaten up, but never one actually missing a part.

Even if they do gain tougher opponents, I won't feel any different about them unless they go into one of the large conferences.

Those are some awesome fish! But what I enjoy even more about watching that video is realizing how much the sport has grown over the past decade. That crowd doesn't seem like anything compared to the ones you see today.

Watch every video that you can on this website. Once you have done that, make friends with Youtube if you haven't already. He is a really great guy. I am yet to do a search on a different fishing technique and not get a few videos back on how to do it.

I've heard good things about this reel. But I personally don't like that gold finish. Just looks like it should be sitting on a shelf as a collectors item, imo.

I second the Senko comment. There really isn't another bait that can be fished in as many different ways and still catch fish.

I'd say that it would work like a regular tree would. But I would watch out for what chemicals might be in the fake tree. Make sure it isn't going to cause much harm.

I was in the same boat as you. A couple of guys on here suggested to me to try P-Line Evolution and Floro. I spooled them on my two new setups. I still need to get out and try them out. It's been tough seeing as it was 30 degrees here today.

Nothing. They got all of their good starters from this year back from last year. They will be graduating this year. Meyer doesn't want to go through the rebuilding and recruiting process, so he will probably quit for good. Unless he just doesn't want to recruit and run spring practice then just come back for the season next year. His ego would make him do that.

Look into Senkos. Really not a wrong way to fish them many people will tell you. Strike King has a kit that has five or six different colors of their Senko out.

It was either a Rooster Tail or a Rebel Crawfish. I remember my Dad getting me both of those when I first started lure fishing.

I like Rapala better. But I do prefer the Rebel Crawfish over others like it.

Yep, I buy more tackle when it's cold than I do during warm weather.
