I like the standard silver color on a normal day, and the yellow/chartruese on a day when there is less visibility in the water. Go with the 1/8 once.

The Prodigys sell for $100 I believe. The reel can be had for about the same. So, you might be saving a few bucks buying the combo.

I saltwater fished for the first time in July. Only caught two myself. 2 Spanish Makarel. Those are a whole different kind of fight.

I personally have not had any bad experiences with BPS, but after hearing these things that keep coming up while reading around on here. I might start looking at some other sites to buy my gear from.

I'm just not a fan of cracking in the open like that. When there doesn't seem to be much structure. Which also makes me wonder if it is bass that you are seeing.
