10 years later, a look back at what happened to TN football
I think it started when they fired Fulmer. All these schools are too quick to fire really good coaches because they have a bad year. Fulmer won 10 games the year before he was fired, won the east, and only lost the SEC championship by 1 score to the national champion team. I really think he could have improved the if given the chance. As a UGA fan I think the same about Richts firing. It worked out and Kirby is a great coach but with 130 FBS teams not everyone can be top ten every year. I'm sure if Kirby has a bad year or 2 he's gone too.

Football is almost here !
I know he's supposed to be a husky but he's always looked like a raccoon to me.

Football is almost here !
Good point although we went 11 years in the 90s so we know how to lose consistently too.

Go Dawgs! (Until we roll over in the SEC Championship again)

Kubota vs John Deere
I have a JD 3032E and have been happy with it. I chose it over the 25 at a friends recommendation because he said the 25 was a little too weak for the front end loader I was going to use on it. I have about 400 hours on it with zero issues so far. Only thing I really hate is it came with a seat PTO safety switch. To use my PTO log splitter I had to jump the safety switch wiring or set a cinder block in the seat.

Going another direction
Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she finds something better soon. Its sad the days of working 30 years for the same company and getting a decent retirement are over. Now days you have to keep your resume up to date and keep an eye out for better opportunities even if you're happy with your job. It's not always bad. I have been laid off 3 times in my life and landed in a better position everytime.

Braid for Carolina Rig?
I don't like 20lb braid on baitcasters. My c-rig rod has 50lb power pro with a 10 or 15 lb mono leader. The weight and Carolina keeper are on the mono.

I'm Too Young to Know What I am Doing...
Really sounds awful. To help you out I'll trade ages with you. I'll be 17 again and you can turn 50 next year.

Sounds like Marie Laveau- The Curse of Oak Island
They need to bring the guys from gold rush in. They would have the whole island excavated and sluiced in 4 episodes.- Do you consider "live" bait cheating?
Teaching someone that's never been around one to use a casting net is better than anything on tv.- Christmas tree: real or fake?
We have a fake tree in the house but I dispose of a lot real trees every year for our lakes habitat program.- Portable Generators
Thanks for suggestions. I currently have a dedicated breaker and main lock out for the generator. I would never run everything at once, just flip the breaker for what I need at that time. 5kw works for us but it would be nice to have a little extra at times.- Portable Generators
I am looking for a new portable generator in the 7-8kw range and wondering what you guys use. I have had a 5kw Coleman for 23 years but it decided to die and was a little undersized anyway. I only use it for the occasional power outage so I'm not looking to spend a ton for one. I like the idea of inverters but I need 240v for the water heater and ac.- Brand new Tracker 175 having holes cut in it before sale.
Why can't they take the deck off? It's just plywood screwed to aluminum cross braces.- I'm in a world of trouble now!!!
My wife has 2 hand painted ceramic candle holders that belonged to her grandmother. I was playing tug of war with our lab and a big rubber chewing ring when he turned loose and the ring went flying. It knocked one of the holders off the coffee table and made a small chip on the base. I glued the chip back, sanded and re glazed the base to good as new. 15 years later she tells anyone who comments on how pretty they are "except that one where HE knocked it in the floor". You'll never live long enough to hear the end off that chair.- Oil Change
I had a 65 Cushman Eagle when I was a kid. I beat that thing for years and it near let me down. It was no where near as nice as that one.- Dock fishing and crazy home owners
I have lived waterfront most of my life and experienced tons of bad behavior from fishermen. I have had countless lures bounced off my boats. I have had hooks everywhere including boat seats, decking, cables, ropes and one my wife kneeled on by a flower bed 30' from the water. I had a guy decide my underwater light wasn't deep enough and took it upon himself to pull it out of the water and move it for me. Another guy put his kids on my dock to play at 1am so he and his buddy could back away and fish the light. Had a guy cast a crankbait within 5' of my nephew while he was swimming. The kid was in the water 30+ minutes before the guy showed up. (This one really fired me up) While I know it's a few bad apples causing the problems but has caused me to stop promoting fish near my dock. I have stopped putting out brush piles, stopped leaving my underwater light on, and put rubber flaps between my dock floats to stop skipping.- Cost To Maintain : Two Stroke vs. Four Stroke ?
What maintenance costs $700?. Like Troy1985s I change my oil every 6 months regardless of hours, LU oil once a year, plugs and water pump every couple years. I have had my Yamaha 4 stroke since 08 and probably have less than $700 in all maintenance combined.- What’s a boat worth?
I think it depends on your location but around here NADA has always been a little lower than actual selling prices. In the shape you described it's probably a fair deal. My concern would be the Opti. They had a lot of problems with reeds breaking and air injectors back then. If they have never been swapped you would want to have it done and it's not cheap.- Ranger Boat's Icon
I'm glad you're happy with yours.- Ranger Boat's Icon
I have always been a Ranger loyalist and currently own an 08 Z520 and and old 393v but will not buy another new one. I have seen too many cut corners and shoddy work on Trackers and Nitros. Producing a quality product is a culture within a company and I don't believe Johnny Morris fosters that. Just my opinion.- Kids these days....
I once refused to eat salmon patties at supper. They put my plate in the refrigerator and gave it back to me at breakfast and lunch the next day. That was some good salmon 24 hours later when I finally ate it.- Tracker 2018 Heritage/2019 Classic edition boat
I had a ladder like that on a pontoon once and used pool noodles around the metal uprights to protect the hull. It looked bad but worked good. - Fishing NightMares?
