Not trying to bump this post, but I searched for this subject before I created a new thread. I used some today and like the idea, but I got the weight stuck on something on the bottom, pulled, and pulled, and pulled. The result, I lost the weight, and the bottom eyelet was bent. Other then that, they worked fine, The hook points are super sharp!

It's going to be interesting to see what plays out with this reel. For the weight and specs it has, it really could do something in the market. But, I remeber reading what happened last year. I have talked to a many sales people (one being a REALLY cute gilrl!) at my local BPS and they told me they were not allowed to sell them till the Spring Fishing Classic. I'm happy with my family of Curados, just passing along the information. If anyone gets a Carbonlite Baitcasting reel, lets us know how it worked out.

I just checked Powell's website and they say their out of stock on Diesel rods. (I guess TW and other places still have enough supplies of them.) I have a couple of Endurance's, but I am curious about them as well.

Yeah, those are great reels! I bought one for my buddy recently. He loves to fish more then I do and he had a really rough/tough year. I told him he was the ugliest fisherman I know so, I wanted to make sure he had a good looking reel. I did have DVT put in bearings and upgrade the drag on my 50E. Awesome difference it made! Glad you like the reel and are enjoying it!!

The Lews reels are good ones, never heard anyone say anything bad about them. I have a Curado 50E and love it! If you look hard enough, you can still locate some 51Es floating around. Have you looked in the Flea Market Thread yet? I have a couple of 51Es at a Bass Pro shop lately. Good luck!
