I would vote for some Yo-Zuri Pin minnows, they have done pretty well for me! Half the price of the LCs. Also, I like the Rapalas XRSH-08 or 06 in yellow perch!
  3. Everyone, I picked up a new Shimano Curado 50E reel Wed. WOW!! Awesome reel, highly recommend one!
  4. I have a Zune so, I will look for that on there. Thanks.
  5. Does anyone listen to any Bass podcasts? If so, do you mind letting me know which ones you listen to and like the most? Thanks, Wdy
  6. What is the latest SGT? Have you had any better luck there?
  7. Havent heard anything about them making the run yet.
  8. I know my buddy and I have been doing well on crawfish plastics. I saw you are in VA as well so there is my suggestion. fished extremely slow.....
  9. I love me some Spooks!! Well done!
  10. Ahhh, I am fishing every piece of water in Powhatan now! Awesome fish!
  11. Great family moment! Looks great there holding that fish. That is great you are teaching your son to fish! I think fishing is one of those hobbies that makes people are better person in the long run!
  12. Very nice fish! I love some Bandit 200s as well! What color pattern did you get her on? I usually use the bass or their version of the sexy shad pattern.
  13. The winning weight was 5 fish totalling a tick over 10 lb. Yeah, rough day. Big fish was just under 3.5
  14. I fished Lake Gaston today in a small bass club. It was rough, it seemed only soft plastics were doing the trick. Bass seemed to still be deep. Nothing on cranks, spinnerbaits, moving baits. We found water temp. as high as 62 degrees back in Poplar creek. Letting anyone know in case you are fishing the Federation tourny Sunday.
  15. Lucky I was not there!! LOL!! But, seriously next time I am coming along, nice fish and happy belated birthday!
  16. I was just getting ready to post and ask question about C-rig and found this thread. What tackle setup do you guys use for C-rigs? Rod length, line #, and reel ratio?
  17. Thanks for such an educated answer!! I will go hard at it once the water temp gets closer to 60 degrees. Now I am not arguing with a VT grad since I am as well, but I guess to see if he is correct SGT Rico is to go out to the pond one early morning and see if there any what I call "hand-gernades," (No, not Jersey Shore reference), but huge strikes on the top! Also, maybe go outside the box and try rat lures, snakes something like that. Keep up posted on any progress and good luck!
  18. Yeah, I take my reels out to Wayne as well great person all that old fishing tackle in his trailor, good greif! I always try to get my reels address at the beginning of each new fishing season. Good luck with the cleanings!
  19. Yeah, I talked with Sam after he got off the water he said it was a tough day fishing!
  20. He could have a very good point there!
  21. you did not mention spinnerbaits in what you have tried. Have you tried one of those? I would say keep trying to replicate the bluegills or crappies either with hard swimbaits or different manufactures cranks. One of my favorite cranks is a Rapala XRSH-6 or 8 yellow perch. One killer bait there. (Sorry, but I am not tech savy enough to post a picture of the lure.)
  22. 00, What style of bass fishing do you use it for? Everything?
  23. If you have the reel let me know what you think of it please. I have a 200E5 and love that reel! But, looking to get that 6 something to 1 gear ratio. Thanks in advance!
