horny toads
Use the 5/0 Zoom Horney Toad hook that are designed specifically for the Horney Toads. I personally like the red hooks, but I guess it doesn't really matter much. When I am rigging the Horney Toad I will screw the head of the bait onto spring until it reaches the end of the spring. After that, I will insert the hook right where the legs begin and come out the top of the bait with the hook and leave the hook sticking outside the bait, but make sure it is weedless!!! To help reduce the bait from rolling over, I will keep my rod tip up high and reel at a steady speed. Keep in mind that the bait will still roll over, but this should reduce it. When a bass does take the bait, wait about two seconds the set the hook HARD!!!! Braided line does help, but you can use monofilament.

Floater, slow sink, fast sink
I prefer slow sink. It is the most verstile of the three options because you can use it as a wake bait or you can let it sink to the bottom like a fast sink, but you will just have to wait a little longer.

Whats your tackle for 95 degree heat and up?
Carolina rig, jig, crankbait, and spoons. Throw these near cover and structure and you should get bit at least once.

Is it possible???
highly unlikely, and certainly mostly impossible for that to be true........ the size of LMB seems to have pretty certain limits, although it is true that you can never underestimate nature........ and the SUPER RARE, once in a million years----- genetic freaks that it may produce!!!! so....... i dont believe that it is completely impossible, but the chances of me winning the powerball for 5 consecutive weeks are far more likely Powerball for 5 weeks or catching a 50 lb. LM. Thats a tough choice!!!!!!!!!
-
Is it possible???
Who knows, there could be a 50 lb, LM swimming around, but nobody has caught her yet.
