I've been on the edge of pulling the trigger on a LowRider Falcon rod. I might just have to now, because all of the stuff I have heard about Falcon rods has been good.

For me it has definitely got to be the jig. Also I have trouble reading my Lowrance because I will see structure on my graph but I don't know where to throw my bait whether it be to the left or right or just straight behind the boat.

I got the same color you got in the slow sink version. The bait has great action and it looks pretty realistic too. If you are just starting to use swimbaits I would go with the slow sink version because you can also use it as a wake bait. BTW, I got two nice fish on it today. This bait just has an incredible action to it.

For ponds it's hard to beat a Senko.

If I will hook up with a fish and lose it I will always throw back in the same spot where I lost it to see if the bass will bite again. More often than not though it doesn't bite again.

funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Serioulsy though, it takes me about 30 minutes at 5:00 a.m. For late afternoon trips it takes me about 15 minutes because I am more awake than I was at 5:00 a.m.

Lizards are the best Carolina-Rig bait for me. I like to use a Zoom 6" pumpkin color lizard with the tail of the lizard dyed chartreuse.

I have had that happen with gold and red Senkos. I intentionally do it now to make some COOL color combinations.

I have a Pfluger Trion 5.2:1. This reel does good for me It has a nice wide spool for those extra long casts you will face while you crankbait fishing. Also, this reel is fairly light but I believe that it could be better in terms of weight. The only thing I do not like about this reel is that is feels weird in my hand, but that isn't a big issue so I just deal with it. This reel cost me $99.99 at the local bait and tackle shop but I am sure you could find one a bit cheaper than this on EBAY or even in this forum's Fishing Flea Market section. In conclusion I think if you decide to get this reel you will be pretty pleased with it, but of course their is something better out there in your price range I was just giving you my 2 cents about my cranking reel.

Wow, I see a lot of you people don't like Quantum. I realize you guys don't like their CS, but is there something else about Quantum that you do not like? Personally I only fish Quantum, I think they make top notch stuff.
