  1. yup, Great minds think alike.... then there's us!
  2. nowadays every team seems to have their version, but the terrible towel,it's the original, been around since the days of the steel curtain. many can copy it, none can match it!
  3. what I woulda done probably isn't the right thing, but I probably woulda put my spook upside his head, then when he was trying to dig the trebles out i woulda yelled SNAG! and laughed uncontrollably...I don't get intimidated by whether or not someone mightcome back at me, I'm big enough to handle it, and The likelihood of a weapon being involved is minimal. all that said, you went about it all the right way, if you do see him again, immediately call your game warden or local police. problem solved
  4. I thought long and hard about what I was going to predict before I opened this thread, then I open it and the first thing i see is the exact same prediction from you... 24-17 steelers.
  5. my terrible towels are always ready! I can't wait!!!
  6. mrlite, I'm right there with ya as far as other genres, my list used to include some pantera, some offspring, less than jake, godsmack, foo fighters, and all sorts of oter stuff, this list was really jsut getting back to my roots, I've been feeling more and more southern every day, so these songs just bring me back. bassn, I agree, you could make a case for alabama on there, also willy nelson, merle haggard, and a few others, i tried to stick more with the southern rock, tho David allan coe and Hank Jr. aren't really rock, they were influenced some by it.
  7. various saltwater species, including tarpon will migrate into fresh water and adapt, they could have been released by soemone, or even a bird was carrying its dinner and droped it in there, whatever the case,it does happen. in the retention canals around my town we have tarpon, and there have been various reports of people catching snook as far in as lake okeechobee. it jsut sorta happens.
  8. one more piece of advice, check into the rules by the college, as well as state laws about weapons, i know you're looking at concealed carry, but I know that here in FL firearms are prohibited on all universities, and state run colleges, and a CC permit doesn't trump that. just wouldn't want to see you get into any trouble that way. as for whatpistol, I'd look into a Glock 23, its a .40 in the mid size, great for concealing, yet still large enough frame to get a good grip. as well as when it comes to personal protection,my motto is the caliber better start with at least a .4, anything else and you run the risk of not having enough knock down power (except for maybe a .357mag, which happens to be my fav. caliber, but a lot more limits on concealing)
  9. the sad thing is, someone is going to see one or two of these listed that we're NOT using to catch fish, and think "hmm, I don't have one of thhose, I need ot go get one and try it" and the bait monkey still wins... as for me, I hardly catch anytihng on spinner baits or jigs, so they don't get used much. I havn't caught, or even had a good strike on a buzz bait this year, and I don't throw cranks much either, so any of those are jsut collecting right now.
  10. so, I've always been into all sorts of different types of music, I've played in multiple bands from hard rock to punk to acoustic stuff, but I'm very proud of my current myspace playlist, which is 10 of my favorite southern rock/country classics. sorta getting back to my roots of what I was raised on, and where my heart lies. these represent the particular bands at their best, and while they aren't necessarily the biggest hits, they are some of the best in my opinion. here it is: 1. Statesboro Blues - allman brothers 2. Flirtin with disaster - molly hatchet 3. Train train - blackfoot 4. whiskey bent and hell bound - hank williams Jr. 5. you never even called me by my name - david allan coe 6. Green grass and high tides - the outlaws 7. can't you see - marshall tucker band 8. Long haired country boy - Charlie Daniels Band 9. Fishin' in the dark - Nitty gritty dirt band 10. All I can do is write about it - Lynyrd skynyrd I know, I'm a hillbilly at heart, but what do you guys think?
  11. my thoughts exactly, they'll probably lose one in the division, and two out of division...and a super bowl repeat!!
  12. I'd take that first dog, but my rottie would have his way with it in quick order, he doesn't do well with other dogs.. ;D
  13. I love left over spaghetti sauce, the way I make my sauce is very thick with meat, and I eat it almost like a chili for left overs, without the pasta. I'll make a huge pot when I first cook it, just so I have the left overs for a while. I also do the same thing with nacho/taco meat, I'll cook up 4lbs at a time so I have many meals out of it.
  14. what really did it for me when I taught myself 10 years ago was to learn a few songs that I loved, once I got down a few, I learned a few more, I started seeing similarities and patterns in chords and such, which made it easier and easier. look up guitar tablatures of different songs that you love and learn them, don't get too complicated tho. hell, I was tickled pink to know how to play smells like teen spirit, or sweet home alabama when I was 15 and just learning.
  15. wow, I'm not sure why the top ones are on the side because I flipped thme around on photobucket, but I'm jsut not sure how to fix that so they are what they are
  16. here are some fish that I've caught through out the summer in the pond behind my house, i have caught numerous 4-6lb fish, which these are, as well as a 7+ and missed what I'm fairly sure is a DD fish. I know that there are a few duplicates (different pics of the same fish) but I'm not sure which are which so here are the pics that i have: btw all of these fish were caught on topwater, either spooks, or floating worms
  17. hey mr lite.... if you figure them out, where they live, or where they can be found, let me know, I'd be glad to come take care of a few little punks like that if you know what I mean...
  18. HHEEERRRRRRREEEEE'SSSS OZZY!!! He's my 9 y/o rottie/lab,weighing in at an even 100lbs, loves laying around the house and letting little kids pull on his ears. he's about as self sufficient as they come, with a doggie door and a run of the house....but just try to come in my house when it's dark and he doesn't know you!
  19. it will be one of the best decisions you could ever make my friend, I've had one for 8 years now, he's rottie/lab, but predominently rottie... he's my best buddy man, sweetest dam dog, but he watches the house too, lets kids give him hell and loves it. you won't be sorry if you get a good rottie and train him right. I actually just put up some pics of my boy in the other doggy topic incase you look through that one.
  20. I know of a good club in st. cloud that you may be interested in, I've actually been hoping to join it for about a year now but I don't have a boat. here is the website: www.weekendwarriorsbassclub.com it is a team format, with an interesting twist, and a few really good anglers. my normal fishing buddy is in the club, with another guy he works with, leaving me as a 3rd person out, so I've been hoping ot get a boat or find someone to join the club with.
  21. my store has never sold rage tails, btu they do have charlies worms, a few select styles for $.96 a pack, white trick worms, grape 10" and watermelon flukes...I picked up 5 packs of the tricks, and 5 of the 10" I'll get some of the flukes later, these have all been top producers for me!
  22. yea, I fish C54 spillway regularly, it can be absolutely awesome, with the snook, tarpon and giant largemouth at it when the water is flowing...the one in port st. lucie is pretty good as well.
  23. if you are going to be selling these, I'd love to know...they are remarkable really, I loved the first one you showed us,now seeing it swim, magnificent!
  24. 6'm/f with a revo S and 20lb power pro, cna't beat it for hard or soft jerk baits
