  1. The STX is not worth the extra cost man! I have two SX and only one STX. The STX has the Infi II spool but it doesn't cast any further than the SX! I actually like my SX better. The brakes are fine on the reels as well. I hated my S model because no matter what setting i put the brakes on it was still the same! Trust me, get a SX model and you will not regret it!!!! ;D
  2. This was just covered a couple days ago!
  3. Any wood in the water will also hold heat so look out for that as well!
  4. Buying a truck so i could haul my boat(that i bought before i even had a truck), LOL!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  5. Your right man! I just went and picked up a 54lb thrust MotorGuide. My 43 was enough in even rough waters so this should be even better. It also comes with the Machete III prop.
  6. That's showing em something new alright! I am a firm believer in that myself! Good point 502largemouth!
  7. Hey guys! Unfortunately my trolling motor went south on me yesterday after only 20min of fishing! I am going to just buy a new one since mine is pretty old and wore out. It is a Motor Guide 43lb thrust, bow mount 3" hub motor. My question is, can i fit a bigger or smaller one on my 16ft boat. I found a deal on either a 53lb thrust or a 40lb thrust motor. My 43lb one moved the boat along quickly. Would i lose much if i went with the 40(better price) instead. I need help quick because i really want to get back on the water guys! I know nothing about trolling motors! >
  8. And i have never seen an advantage to them either!
  9. THANK YOU!!!! In my years fishing that lake i have caught one dink off the Cypress trees! I'm glad i'm not alone! I am going to try and rig up the trolling motor atleast while i get a new one! I fished for maybe 20min before it happened. :'( :'( :'( :'(
  10. NICE JOB BRO!!!!!!!! ;D
  11. I use a T-Rigged Power Craw and Tungsten weights. Works great!!
  12. I believe the next one will come from Okeechobee!
  13. Well my trip was cut short today! My trolling motor took a dump on me! :'( I think i'm going to need a new one!!!! >

  16. But will they will they hold up in the loooooooong run!?!
  17. I kind of got caught up and was really speaking only of Lake Istokpoga. I have yet to catch a bass over 5lb there in scattered stuff. But just like FishinDaddy i am absolutely surte of nothing, LOL!!!! ;D
  18. It matters because not every state grows them as big or plentiful as others. Also, they are a lot more difficult to catch in certain areas meaning you have to work harder at it!
  19. I hear the issues are with the regular sticks(cheaper parts)! My bros flippin sticks reel seat came apart when he was hauling in a 5lb hawg from thick pads!!! >
  20. I would bring some dark colored jigs/trailers, hard jerk baits and some plastic worms or brush hogs.
  21. I tried two from BPS and they sucked! I just buy the 25 pack hooks now. I get them for $10 shipped from my guy on Ebay.
  22. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. I can tell you from experience that the big bass are deep in the vegetation man! Fishing the edges will produce a couple of active(smaller) fish but the big ones are lying dormant in the thicker stuff. You will need a good flippin stick to go after them though. I use a Berkley power Bait 4" Chigger Craw(your favorite color) and match your weight according to wind, depth and vegetation thickness. Flip/pitch every pocket, nook and cranny sloooowly. I have had my best luck in EXTRA THICK pad fields. I also purchased a push pole from Bass Pro to get me through the thick stuff. It's a slow process but it's well worth it bro. Hope this helps!!!!
  24. I guess i will see tomorrow than guys! THANKS
