  1. LOL, what can i say man, i love them! I think the original carrots are built with cheap parts and are overpriced(just my 2cents). I don't see them lasting in the long run. I sold the one i had because i just didn't like the feel.
  2. BPS for sure! All of my few orders from cabela's have been nothing but trouble and headaches!!!!!! Selection sucks too!
  3. Try forgetting to tighten up the drag at all and then setting the hook on a fish!!!! >
  4. I don't believe there is any advantage in using pork over plastic. I believe it's all in the location and presentation of the lure and fish. Just my 2 cents though.
  5. It is describing the flex/strength of the rods tip. An extra fast tip is a VERY stiff tip. So, the faster the rating the stiffer the tip. Although some rod companies do overrate there rod ratings. I just bought the Powell 766 mag heavy/extra fast from TW and let me tell you it is AWESOME!!!!!! But the tip is not stiff enough to be rated extra fast IMO!
  6. It's just the principal behind buying a $20.00 lure that has junk hooks on it! It's just wrong IMO! I got some of the Strike King King Shads with this same issue.
  7. Man, those are some fat smallies! Bigger than my LM, LOL! CONGRATS!!!!
  8. WOW, that's good man! Wish you lived close so you could re-do my boat!
  9. Hey, you just described my fishing buddy, LOL!!! ;D
  10. I will suggest two combos that have been very good to me. First and my favorite is a Powell Max 766h flippin stick with a Abu Garcia Revo SX. The rod is 7' 6" heavy/extra fast and the reel is a 6:4:1 with a 24lb drag system. The second is a Shimano crucial flippin stick and a Abu Garcia Revo STX reel. The rod is 7' 6" heavy/fast and the reel is a 6:4:1 ratio with the 24lb drag. I sold the Crucial recently though. I absolutely love the Powell man. It is a brute but has the weight of my 7' MH rods.(very light).
  11. I wish my dad would have done this with me! He hates nature though. You are a very lucky guy bro! CONGRATS TO BOTH OF YOU!!!!
  12. Huddleston and Mattlures are my favorites!(the few times i use them) They are all over Ebay pretty cheap.
  13. Being on my favorite lake on a beautiful Sat, my flippin stick in my hand, approaching a lili pad field the size of a small town, LOL! Oh yeah, that's living it alright!
  14. Hmmm....I'm not sure how to take advice with a laughing smile at the end That's the great thing about the US, you don't have to!!!!!!!
  15. For my slop frogs i use 30lb big game for everything else(non slop) 14lb Stren.
  16. I love trick worms!!!! ;D
  17. AWESOME, very nice pics too! ;D
  18. Like others stated, TIGHT to cover and along side drop offs. I would stick to jigs and t-rigged plastics. If all else fails throw a rattle trap man. I have had good luck with them in cold water!
  19. They are just awesome man, that's all! They just recently price matched a rod for me and even gave me two free t-shirts too! I love those guys!!! ;D
  20. I am partial to cork myself.
  21. WOW, that darn monkey is FAST guys! He just came to FL yesterday and helped me pick out a new MotorGuide FW54FB trolling motor! He's faster than Santa Clause, LOL!!!! ;D
  22. I have used this before with good results. Hope it helps bro! ;D http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_20852____SearchResults
  23. I think it's true! I also, heard that Bill Dance uses private reclaimed phosphate pits to film his shows. Fish are not lure shy there due to little or no fishing pressure. Also, they grow quickly and BIG!
  24. BPS XPS of course!!!
