Well, how did they work? Don't know, i didn't get to take the boat out! I was all packed and ready when i checked the forecast. 25MPH winds in a 16ft boat with HUGE waves is a no go for me. Lake Istokpoga can get pretty dangerous in those conditions! I will be trying them for sure next weekend though.

Maybe a 5/0 weighted hook will help. I like them fished on those hooks to get them in the grass a bit better!

Senkos on light line and spinning gear for shallow/clear docks. Jig and pig on a flippin stick for deep, darker water docks.

35MPH winds, wow, you are brave man! I read the forecast for my intended fishing spot was going to be 25MPH winds and i just headed for BPS instead, LOL!

Man, i have been there before! After a few hours with no bites i struggle even staying out there. Then if i do get a bite i am so distracted that i usually miss it, LOL! Guess that's why i don;t tournament fish!

Hey all! I purchased some Strike King red eye spinner baits in 3/8oz this sat and decided to try them in a local pond today. I was very disappointed in the construction of these lures. I first hooked into a tiny little dink and the whole shaft where the blades are attached straightened out! I bent it back and kept fishing. Then, the second dink i hooked it did it again! My third and last fish looked like a solid 4 pounder(lost it right at my feet) but i was unable to land it because the spinner bait was so warped it was ridiculous!!!!! That's all i had to throw too! ;D

I bought one on sale last year and was EXTREMELY disappointed! They are very over rated in power and action. I purchased a 7' heavy/fast and it looked like a toothpick when it arrived. It was very flimsy and the tip was not fast at all! On top of it all, it was not durable in the least bit. On my second outing with it i hooked into a small bass with a top water frog in open water and about a foot broke off the top! I have never since messed with Cabelas for nothing! >

I have two in the boat but don't ever really use them!

I fish this lake every weekend but i can't ever keep a consistent pattern going! It seems like the fish move around a lot. Also, what does everybody mean when they say "on the inside of the islands"? They have no inside do they? How do you get in there?

Hey guys! I have decided to give the Reaction Innovations BMF flippin' hooks a try. My question is, where can i buy them right now? Some places are sold out and i can't find them on the Tackle Warehouse website(preferred site)! I need them in 4/0 and maybe 5/0. Any help is appreciated.

Man that is so true Catt! I took my wife fishing a couple weeks back and she missed every bite! She was using one of my St. Croix worm rods and fluoro. I sat there and saw her line twitch more than once than take off for the weeds and she never felt a thing! It was one of those days where you could feel the tap tap when they took it too!

The action and power depends a lot on the manufacturer. I recently bought a Falcon Cara flippin stick that looked like a tooth pick! I would recommend either a Shimano Crucial 7' 6" Heavy/fast or a Powell 7' 6" Mag heavy/extra fast. I have owned both and absolutely loved them! The Powell being my favorite though. As for reels, i use the Abu Garcia Revo line up due to there amazing 24lb drag system!

I like to yo yo them around drop offs in 30+ ft of water in the mine pits! They are better in deep water imo!

I am also one of those guys who can't tell the difference in rods! I just buy the name brands cuz there so peeeeeerty!

I am referring to the new low profile Silver Max with the red spool, sorry!
