  1. This is exactly my frustration! I'm not catching size or numbers anywhere even near what I was before the spray. But as you stated, I never saw a single carcass either. I've asked a couple FWC officers about it and their response was that the majority of them may have left through the spillway that's periodically in use on this lake. I find it hard to believe that the fish just all packed up on such a huge body of water and left through the spillway... but I'm no expert.
  2. I went through this on my ex favorite lake, Istokpoga after they killed or removed just about all the productive vegetation. My question is where does said fish and bait go on a primarily shallow, vegetation lake? Do they die, live in open water, what? I know they disappeared on my lake but never understood where they went or what happens to them.
  3. I would not accept that in any brand new rod at all! That's why I always purchase from TW, you can always return it for free. I've had a couple rods do that after a while of using them and I simply drop a dab of superglue in the gap and never had a problem after that.
  4. I wouldn't hesitate man. My son being only 9 years old doesn't need really expensive gear. Figured I would get him some "disposable" reels for now. They turned out to be Keepers. He loves his and they are really light too. And just to put it out there.... I am in no way affiliated with kastking and yes I've paid for every one of their products that we are currently using.
  5. We're infested with them here in FL. You can tell right away which ones have been fed by humans too. I've had a couple try to come in the boat. Not aggressively but still scared the crap out of my son. Wasn't there just a case like this almost identical a couple months back?
  6. My son switched over to all kastking reels at the beginning of this year. He has 3 assassins and 2 stealths. I find myself using them sometimes as well. We have punished them here in S FL for almost a year flippin/pitchin and froggin heavy cover. I kinda wanted to break one just to say "I told y'all they sucked". But that hasn't been the case so far. They feel like a way more expensive reel for sure. We're currently testing their 4 strand braid as well. I have been blown away by the strength and minimum color fading of the line. And at $5 for 150yds, what else can I say!?
  7. Well I think this pretty much settles it! ?
  8. They can get pricey if you want. You can customize the color of each section. I did my old trucks interior in 2 tone leather for about $850.
  9. Not sure if you're referring to the cheaper kind like they sale at stores or what. I've used KatzKin before and they are great quality and fit.
  10. Glad you're ok! The rest will buff right out ?
  11. No complaints so far. I like it as much as my rage toads for a fraction of the price. I think I'll be sticking to it for a while.
  12. Looks sweet... for a Ford Glenn ?. My accessories are a little bit more useless than yours. 10" lift, 22x14s, bed liner, Amp electric steps, Blackhawk intake, straight pipes, black bear tune and full 2% tint. Before/stock
  13. Ranger = Apple . . . . . . Overpriced status symbol.
  14. You only need a handful so don't make it too complicated. Snag proof perfect frog and poppin phattie are the only hollow bodies I use now. Black, white and something with chartreuse are the only colors you need. For soft plastic toads I use the rage toad and now recently the yum tip toad. Both with 5/0 Owner double frog hooks with the screw on the tip. Same colors for these as well
  15. I don't fish water clear enough to care much about fluoro. Plus I believe mono holds a knot much better and doesn't "burn" as much when cinching. So I mainly use CXX or Maxima Ultragreen as leader.
  16. And who tows the Fords, Dodge? ?
  17. People still drive Fords?? ?
  18. Wrapped the Fury cork section with some bling.
  19. Can't miss what you never had tho. Now that we've seen the light it's hard to go back.
  20. I have a couple on a Dobyns Fury, Powell Max 3d and an iRod Genesis. They all match great.
  21. The 734 can just about do everything if needed. By far my favorite in the Fury and Champion lines.
  22. Same reason I stay on the fence about my Curado Ks. The weight is very noticeable to me.
  23. Helloooooooo Thursday! Fixed the Max 3d butt cap too.
  24. Welcome to the club, we have shirts! Mine does that every single trip out. My partner is my 9 yr old son. ? But seriously though, just tell him the truth man. If you're good enough friends then that's the only way.
