  1. Exactly what I use and for the exact same reason too!
  2. 6th Sense only for me. eBay and Amazon ones slide up the line with anything over 1/2oz weight or in cover. That's the lightest weight I'll use for flipping too. They're good for everything else though. If you're trying to save more then $1.99 then you're beyond tight!
  3. Everybody and their brother will have one of those baits by this coming weekend now?
  4. No, I don't take pleasure in someone else's misfortune or bad luck. I would've offered the guy some of whatever bait I was using or at least advise on what I thought the fish were doing. Unless they were being crappy to me first of course.
  5. You're right though, it's most definitely driven by money! Follow the money trail.
  6. Check out YouTube on the subject. MikeyBallz and Scott Martin have a few videos on it. Asides from useless town meetings that makes no difference I don't know of much else that can be done by the average Joe. They destroyed my favorite lake (Istokpoga) and are now doing it to Kissimmee and Okeechobee.
  7. You ever watched the movie lake placid? ?
  8. My favorite frogs are the snag proof perfect frogs, ish's poppin phattie and the jackall gavacho. I only use 3 colors nowadays. Chartreuse, white and black. Black in the mornings when it's still dark. Chartreuse any time the water has a stain to it. And white for clearer water situations.
  9. There's a couple vids on YouTube about doing this. I like the idea but don't have unlimited on mine.
  10. Powell endurance 734c (new model) Concept HS reel with 30lb Sufix 832 braid Bag full of bruiser baits 6" sticks My own boat but with a 300 on the back. So I can beat all y'all to the spots. ?
  11. I tried liking them but just never got a single bite on one. I had over 20 packs of the strike King tubes I just sold in the flea market.
  12. Powell is a really great rod for the money. I have a login for 20% off that anyone can use if you order from their site too. PM me if you decide to order from them.
  13. I have 2 of them both paired with Abu Revo winches. This rod will throw just about anything 3/8oz and up. I usually keep a 6xd on one and a Mann's 30+ on the other. It loads perfectly both on the hookset and the cast. Very lite and balanced as well. Another great rod I use is the Powell Max 3d 7' 11" cb.
  14. I never go below 30lb braid
  15. U-40 is almost clear so not sure how this could happen. I've been using it since I can remember and never had that issue.
  16. Y'all stop hating on the googans and go make your own unboxing vids on the tube! You know you want to.....?
  17. Nothing about kastking sucks. Especially for the price. They are workhorses!
  18. Looks like I'm out of luck on this one. Carol couldn't help either.
  19. That's the mistake I made as well. I ordered a bunch of Bully Wa 2s during the 4th of July TW sale based on the tactical guys recommendations. Absolute garbage product! I swore off the original bully wa due to it filling up with water and sinking before getting back to the boat on a long cast. Also the body would tear really easily. Well, the 2 version that claims to have at least solved the taking on water issue is no better. Still takes on water and the body ripped after 3 dinks. The hook is also really flimsy compared to the original. Returned them all to TW. I'll stick to the proven snag proof with ITT. It's a shame too because they walk great and I like the bigger size.
  20. Do I contact Carol through the site?
  21. Thanks but they don't seem to have the green one.
  22. Does anyone know there I can get a couple of the Alps deluxe 27mm butt caps in green? I've contacted a couple places but they won't ship to the US. Thanks guys
  23. This^^ I use to go on wild goose chases all the time when seeing this.
  24. One that comes to mind right away is the Daiwa Zillion. Can be had for under $200. Heck the new Powell endurance is way lighter and more balanced for half the price.
