  1. Only thing I use them for are deep cranks where I need to experiment with colors, size, noise etc. And usually once I dial it in I'll remove the snap and tie straight to the bait. Just can't bring myself to trust them completely.
  2. We all know if it's not an 8.1:1 then there's no way we can ever keep up with that fish when it shoots straight for the boat ?
  3. I agree with @fishnkamp about the escalade. I've never owned one but playing with them in store they feel really light and crisp. And looks like they are on sale online for $49.99. MH/F imo, is a great all around rod to use.
  4. They work for me here in FL just fine. Most of the time visibility is a few inches where I fish. I usually upsize the bait the lower the visibility.
  5. For the most part, we're alone in the can't swim department. I for sure thought there would be way more people that didn't know how.
  6. Keep an eye on your PM tomorrow. Got you all spooled up with fresh 15lb big game. Enjoy it man.
  7. I believe as of now he only sales them on the Gram and FB. Clayton sly lures or Sly guy lures. He makes small custom ordered batches. Has shad style as well. Customer service is excellent as well.
  8. I paid $55 shipped for mine with spare tails. Great action and really durable finish.
  9. I'm going somewhere this Sun. Power poles down and big weights if the wind keeps up. I can't take another weekend at home!!! ?
  10. If you happen to use a lefty reel, I have a spare Daiwa excellor in 7 ratio I never use. Has box and papers. It's yours free that way you can spend more on the rod and have a better combo. I also have bunches of line if you need it spooled too.
  11. Sly guy lures Gill is high on my list.
  12. Suffix 832, but we already knew that now didn't we class!
  13. It's been really tough for over a yr now. Check out some left over hydrilla to the left of Henderson's with pads mixed in. Also, huge pad field on the South East side. Start outside and work your way in to look for spawners. I'm headed that way maybe this weekend myself. I live about 4 min from the windy point ramp. Oh, make sure you have a black/blue flipping jig tied on.
  14. I almost always have a zoom ol monster somewhere on deck in black or junebug (FL). And a double weed guard jig in 1oz with a big rage lobster as a trailer. Same colors as the worm above.
  15. My 150 EFI only pees after the thermos have reached temp and opened. Takes a couple min.
  16. Fresh out of the packages. Tatula SV TWS 8.1:1 and Powell Max 3d 795. Already sealed the cork with U40 and spooled up with suffix 832 50lb. Got this whole setup for what the reel retails.
  17. Have you checked thermostats? Did you install impeller correctly (clockwise). Is the line clogged that leads to the pee hole? Is the water tube and guide installed correctly and all the way up into the motor?
  18. @livemusic They're bullet proof imo. Easy to work on and tweak for performance. I've had many and never a single issue.
  19. I've been wanting to go myself. Haven't been there in a while. Just beware of the stumps!
  20. My son has some stealths and assassins. He loves them and they're feather light. He uses them to punch, flip and swimbait with no issues. I tried to hate them but he was hell bent on trying one. All down hill from there.
  21. Power poles, GPS an EFI and a Chevy pulling it and I'm golden!
  22. Do any of you guys ever "test" your PFDs to make sure they will actually hold you up? The full, non CO² style ones I mean. Thinking of doing this to mine in a pool.
