On my lakes 12ft is about as deep as it gets. I too noticed that i could catch dinks all morning in the shallows but no decent size fish. So, i start looking for deeper cover/structure at about 5am one day and the rest is history! It is definitely worth a shot. I would try a big deep diving crank early on and then Carolina rigs and drop shot rigs as it gets hotter! BEST OF LUCK

Me, hey, right here! I had two and hated them equally! They both broke for no apparent reason besides poor quality! Competitive at $150, you kiddin right!?! Powell, Kistler, Shimano, Fenwick just to name a few in the price range all with Fuji components and proven performance!!!!!!!

Get Suffix or the new FireLine Braid and enjoy! They are both a lot limper and smoother than PP and dig WAY less!

Yes that's the one and i am sure it would be ok! Many are detoured by the ratings on the Powell rods IMO. They are pretty overrated in power and actions though. The 705C is more like a MH/F than Mag H/ Ex F! There is no difference that i could find between the 704C and the 705C really! I really think you would like it. Hey, if you don't i will buy it off you man, LOL!

My recommendation exactly! My bro has one and it holds some line man! But since it will pull double duty as a flippin' reel the Revo Winch would go good too!

If you know how to adjust the SX brakes properly or take the time to learn, it is well worth the upgrade. It is a much smoother reel and looks SEXY too!!!!
